melting into you wrote:Hum, I think the casting has been amazing. The clips I've seen have been right on. You can't take a book with so many pages and put every scene in. Some of the scenes added look fun and seem to enhance the movie. Stephenie is very pleased. I think we will be too. It's hard when you are seeing bits and pieces. Maybe when you see the whole movie you'll be pleasantly surprised. I hope so cause we all love the books so much.
Aw, Robert is the perfect Edward, really. You'll see when you see more of him. I'm amazed how James looks exactly as I visioned. Kristen is Bella. It's spot on the casting.
The only thing I'm upset with is I don't understand why Entertainment Weekly has Edward on the cover with his shirt open and it looking like a romance novel. It's not at all what Edward is all about and his finger nails are grossly dirty which has been air brushed to show I guess he feeds at night. The inside of EW is great, the cover... not so much.
I'd like to see guys interest perked as well as ours. It's an action adventure romance. They need to have some posters that reflect that. BUT I love, super love all the coverage. It's so exciting. I hope by Dec. you have a little bit of a thrill going. I know it's hard being a fan, huh?
I agree here. I mean you have to give Hardwick some credit. It's not like they can sculpt the perfect Edward and put him on screen. We have to bite the bullet and realize that we do live in a reality where no one is perfect & in my opinion if SM is pleased with the cast to act out the characters SHE created, then we need to appreciate that much and accept the actors who have been cast. In my opinion i think Pattinson is doing an amazing job, all of the scenes are in point and i couldn't imagine then coming out any better. As mentioned by Stewart, they put everything they had into the roles & that's all we can ask of them. I really don't think it helps too much to criticize the movie as a whole and totally nullify the fact that they are trying to bring a book that we all love to life.
Sure, we'll have our disagreements here & there but there really is no need to criticize the actors who gave it their best
