epilogue: treaty

Post by lookin_4_my_edward » Sat Nov 10, 2007 7:25 pm

1. Were you at all surprised by how easily things went back to normal? Did you expect something different?
No, i expected things to go back to normal.

2. Do you think Bella is playing a dangerous game trying to be friends with a werewolf and date a vampire? Ignoring what you know about Eclipse - how do you think this could ever be resolved? What were your hopes for these relationships at the end of the book?
I think that the vampires and the werewolves have to realize they're both on the same team, and need to join ranks. Somehow I dont believe Jacob and Edward could ever find peace in Bella hanging with both, seeing as they both love her so much.

3. What did you think about Jacob giving Charlie Bella's motorcycle?
while it was inconsiderate, you have to think about it from Jacob's point of view. He wants Bella to understand how he would never leave her like Edward did, and he thinks all that Bella needs is time alone to realize this. He doesn't realize though that Edward will always be there for Bella [and it doesnt hurt he can climb through her window!]

4. What did you think about the difference between "bite" and "kill" and the point Jacob was making?
Jacob was trying to get across the point that they cannot make Bella a vampire without breaking the treaty, even if she wanted to be bitten. Jacob is making this point because he doesn't want Bella to be a vampire, he wants to love her and for her to be in love with him.

You have to have sympathy for Jacob, even if you are madly in love with Edward.

LMAO I thought exactly the same thing. Jacob Black's very presence has been annoying me since he first appeared in Twilight. I would be more than thrilled if he just disappeared for good. Now that I think of it, I wouldn't mind terribly if Billy Black disappeared as well.

I have never been much of a werewolf fan, I guess that's further proof that I should probably be a vampire myself. lol

1. Were you at all surprised by how easily things went back to normal? Did you expect something different?

No, I wasn't surprised because it couldn't have happened in another way, but I expected that maybe Alice would appear in the epilogue.

2. Do you think Bella is playing a dangerous game trying to be friends with a werewolf and date a vampire? Ignoring what you know about Eclipse - how do you think this could ever be resolved? What were your hopes for these relationships at the end of the book?

I think that Bella was trying to do the right thing and guess it would have been resolved with talking and insisting in both of them to accept themselves -vampires or werewolves. And at the end of the book I only hoped that Bella and Edward would continue to be together and Bella and Jacob keeping their friendship by phoning or writing letters.

3. What did you think about Jacob giving Charlie Bella's motorcycle?

I didn't like that reaction in Jacob, but I could understand him. He was desesperate about what had happened to Bella or if she was safe or not.

4. What did you think about the difference between "bite" and "kill" and the point Jacob was making?

Jacob was obviously refering to Edward biting Bella because she wanted and biting Bella by accident, because of her blood attraction like in her birthday with Jasper.

1. Were you at all surprised by how easily things went back to normal? Did you expect something different?
I actually expected things to get back to normal. After all the time they spent apart and the hell it put them through we knew that they were really meant to be together. It was the natural and right thing to happen.

2. Do you think Bella is playing a dangerous game trying to be friends with a werewolf and date a vampire? Ignoring what you know about Eclipse - how do you think this could ever be resolved? What were your hopes for these relationships at the end of the book?
It wasn't dangerous to try to be friends with Jake at the time since technically Edward wasn't even in the picture anymore. I was sick of hearing "Jake this and Jake that!" He is a great guy and all but I knew in my heart that it was and always would be Edward so it just annoyed the hell out of me to see Bella with him. He was very immature in so many ways and I guess I didn't have the tolerance for that sort of thing.

3. What did you think about Jacob giving Charlie Bella's motorcycle?
He was just doing what he thought would be a good idea. Very immature of course, who else but a child would think that getting another person in trouble is a better alternative.

4. What did you think about the difference between "bite" and "kill" and the point Jacob was making?
I saw it as another attempt at Jake to try and win Bella in his weird Jakish way. When she is bitten she loses everything that she has known her life including him and there is no going back. It was just a really low blow considering Jake knew how Bella loved him so much, even if it wasn't the type of love that Jake wanted from her.

1. Were you at all surprised by how easily things went back to normal? Did you expect something different?

Nah, what else could have happened?

2. Do you think Bella is playing a dangerous game trying to be friends with a werewolf and date a vampire? Ignoring what you know about Eclipse - how do you think this could ever be resolved? What were your hopes for these relationships at the end of the book?

Yes, Bella is playing a dangerous game. On so many levels. It is unresolvable. I'm not sure if I can identify what my hopes were.

3. What did you think about Jacob giving Charlie Bella's motorcycle?

So rude. It was a betrayal of the private thing they had together.

4. What did you think about the difference between "bite" and "kill" and the point Jacob was making?

I figured he knew what they wre planning.

1. Were you at all surprised by how easily things went back to normal? Did you expect something different?

I was glad that Edward and Bella could go back to the way things used to be. I was worried that the hurt caused by them being apart would damage their relationship once the happiness over their reunion faded.

2. Do you think Bella is playing a dangerous game trying to be friends with a werewolf and date a vampire? Ignoring what you know about Eclipse - how do you think this could ever be resolved? What were your hopes for these relationships at the end of the book?

I was very interested to see how this relationship would turn out in the end. I know that Jacob is compared to Paris from Romeo and Juliet. In the back of my mind, I was hoping that Edward and Jacob wouldn't have a duel to the death in their future.

3. What did you think about Jacob giving Charlie Bella's motorcycle?

Oh the humanity! I really felt bad for Bella. I was very angry at Jacob's betrayal. Friends don't do that to friends. After my anger passed away, I felt sorry for Jacob. I was sad that he was so desperate as to possibly damage Bella's friendship with him to see her separated from Edward.

4. What did you think about the difference between "bite" and "kill" and the point Jacob was making?

I think Jacob was making it very clear that if the Cullens were planning to change Bella, they should be aware that it would break the treaty. It would mean war. Again "they fight, Paris falls." At the time I thought it meant a real fight was in their future. I was betting on Edward. But I wasn't eager to see Jacob get in a fight with him.

1. Honestly, No. I was not surprised because Bella and Edward are true loves. Eternal and forever. Bella was dying inside to have Edward back. and he the same. i feel they are MEANT to be together; so things will always be this way for them.

2. sometimes, when Bella feels the need to try and get Edward and Jacob together it seems she's playing a dangerous game. Her Best friend has not Always been a Werewolf, but her Boyfriend has been a Vampire for 80 some odd years. My hopes at the End of New moon were of the hope that Jacob would get the Hint Edward was there to stay; and by getting Bella grounded he wasn't keeping Edward away-he'd be at school during the day anyways, and in her room at night. I feel Edward and Jacob should of TRIED to push the hated aside for Bella's sake. She loves them both.. in no way close the same way.. but she doesn't mean to hurt Jacob. And she's With Edward Forever.

3. I found Jacob bringing Bella's motorcycle back to be a very.. unworthy cause. Bella did a dumb thing; but more of it has to do with Jacob's reasons They were selfish and unthoughtful. He wants Bella to be Happy but keeping her away from Edward or getting her in trouble will do neither. Bella is now 18 and if wanted she could move out to be with Edward.

4. The "Bite" not "kill" thing had me a little torn. For Jacob to remind Edward the treaty said bite not kill was more of a complication; Edward doesn't want to bite; or Kill Bella. But Bella wants Edward to bite her, and leading to her Mortal death. It is none of Jakes business as i see it but he was going to bud in as much as possible anyways. I found Jacob to only be saying this So Bella would know they planned on changing her. but they he found out SHE wanted to be changed. more like a slap in the face on his part. (:[/b]

1. Were you at all surprised by how easily things went back to normal? Did you expect something different?
Yes, because it had done so in Twilight by having them go to the prom. Going back to school seemed like a normal progression. Even having Edward back at school was an assumption.

2. Do you think Bella is playing a dangerous game trying to be friends with a werewolf and date a vampire? Ignoring what you know about Eclipse - how do you think this could ever be resolved? What were your hopes for these relationships at the end of the book?
Despite Edward's return, Bella has to realize the relationship that was developing between her and Jacob. She is as deeply involved with his world and his secrets as she is with Edward's. Although I feel that Bella and Jacob's relationship is more realistic, the obsessive love between Bella and Edward is feasible but tends to fade quickly.

3. What did you think about Jacob giving Charlie Bella's motorcycle?
I think he was trying to get her attention the only way he knew how. It shows the true actions of an adolescent boy, and I mean that in a positive way.

4. What did you think about the difference between "bite" and "kill" and the point Jacob was making?
Jacob is trying to prevent Bella from making a life changing mistake because he loves her.

1. Were you at all surprised by how easily things went back to normal? Did you expect something different?
Answer: No, I was not surprised.
I was GLAD! EDWARD'S BACK! YAY! :D

2. Do you think Bella is playing a dangerous game trying to be friends with a werewolf and date a vampire? Ignoring what you know about Eclipse - how do you think this could ever be resolved? What were your hopes for these relationships at the end of the book?
Answer: No, I didn't think that Bella was playing a dangerous game. I just hoped that Bella would forget about Jacob, get turned into a vampire, and live forever with Edward. That's what I would do. But I'm not Bella.

3. What did you think about Jacob giving Charlie Bella's motorcycle?
Answer: I have three words that will explain how felt (and still feel),
"I HATE JACOB!"

4. What did you think about the difference between "bite" and "kill" and the point Jacob was making?
Answer: I thought,
"Oh, shoot! Now Bella can't be turned into a vampire!"
Then I thought
"Screw Jacob and his wolves! If Bella wants to be a vampire, THEN SHE'S GOING TO BE A VAMPIRE!"
And I didn't really think about the difference between "bite" and "kill."
And I didn't think Jacob knew.

1. Were you at all surprised by how easily things went back to normal? Did you expect something different?

I think I was a little surprised, I would've thought there'd be some, at least minor change in Bella's life after all that she'd been through, but then again, I think she was happy that she had Edward back, and was trying hard to make sure things went back to how they were before her zombie state.

2. Do you think Bella is playing a dangerous game trying to be friends with a werewolf and date a vampire? Ignoring what you know about Eclipse - how do you think this could ever be resolved? What were your hopes for these relationships at the end of the book?

I think it is dangerous, and I'm not sure how it could be resolved. I think, maybe, they could make some kind of compromise or agreement, that Jacob wouldn't hurt any of the Cullens, in exchange for something ... or maybe they'd see to change the treaty some way so that it'd allow Bella to be bitten ... I'm not sure. But yes, I think it is dangerous. My hopes for these relationships at the end of the book, were that Jacob and the rest of the pack and the Cullens could live in peace with each other, but that wasn't going to happen obviously.

3. What did you think about Jacob giving Charlie Bella's motorcycle?

Well, considering the reason behind why he did it, I was pretty ticked off at him. He did it so Bella could get grounded so she wouldn't be able to see Edward. Yes, i was angry.

4. What did you think about the difference between "bite" and "kill" and the point Jacob was making?

I think, that Jacob definitely doesn't want Bella to become, in his words, a "bloodsucker", but I don't think he knew that that is her exact intention ... I think Jacob was trying to emphasize the difference, attempting to get it into the Cullens' head.
