1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?

I was expecting a cullen^ I knew it wasn't going to be Edward and I wasn't disappointed either. I didn't expect him to come back until later.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?

Yes and no. I've never been a fan of werewolves in any book. These werewolves however annoy me to no end. The fact that Alice (my favorite character) also disliked them added to it.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?

Very sad. You'd never think someone as cheerful and loveable as Alice would go through something like this. Granted, she may not remember the majority of it but still its shocking.

Although I don't agree with their choice, I don't find it barbaric. In the time peorid, my guess would be that this was the logical solution.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?

I've always found Charlie a very...relaxed kind of parent. I felt sad knowing that bella's depression was also bringing him down.

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?

I think she was shocked and probably felt vunerable. In a way she relies on her visions. Knowing that her gift, in maybe a fight or something, would be useless was probably a deep blow to her confidence.

1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?

I don't know who I was expecting, but I knew it wouldn't be Edward.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?

No because I already didn't really like the wolves.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?

No, they just did what was seen as the right thing to do in that time period.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?

It made me feel like he's a better father than we've given him credit for. He was truly concerned about Bella during her zombie months and in hurt him to see her like that an not be able to help.

1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?
I thought it might be Alice, or Carlisle/Esme I didn't think it would be Edward since Carlisle's car was in the driveway.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?
Not really since they had the same reaction to the Cullens.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?
Alice's history makes me very sad, but given the time period, and not knowing the full backstory, I can't say that I see them as barbaric. It was a very different time, where the only services available to families were asylums. Even for physical handicaps.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?
I really felt for Charlie. Up to this point he has not showed much emotion, and I think the conversation gave him a chance to express how much his daughter's pain affected him, and the hopelessness in not being able to help her.

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?
I think it was a confidence blow to her, since it seems she has not had many challenges of her ability, besides the future changing based people changing their minds.

1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?

I thought it was Victoria! Or maybe Carlisle. I was a LITTLE dissapointed, but also really excited! (and glad that I was wrong  ) Plus, if it was one of the Cullens, I didn't expect it to be him, anyway.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?

Yeah, but I already didn't like them that much. I like Jake better now that I'm re-reading New Moon, though.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?

Not really, but maybe a little. I don't really know how I feel about it.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?

It DEFINATELY affected my opinion of him! It shows that he pays more attention then you think. And it also shows how much he really cares for Bella. He's such a sweetie! :D

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?

I think it definately lessened her confidence. Just realizing that she's not always right, and that the events in her visions could be drastically changed just by one person (well... werewolf) being there.

How come if Alice saw Bella jumping off the cliff she never saw anything about Victoria or Laurent?
1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward? I figured it would be Carlisle, but I honeslty had no idea why. I was so sad it wasn't Edward. I was positively DYING without him.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack? Not really, I didn't really form an opinion of the pack until Eclipse.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric? It made me sad for Alice that her parents thought she was insane and told everyone that she died.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent? It made me more sympathetic to what Charlie had to deal with when Edward left. After that part of the book, I understood why Charlie hated Edward. He thought that he shattered his little girl and he didnt want it to happen again.

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence? This troubled her because she did not know why.

Questions by Cocoa:

1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?

I thought it would either be Alice or Carlisle. I wasn't disappointed it wasn't Edward. I'd almost decided he wasn't going to be back in this book.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?

no.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?

no. that's how the times were. i think if a girl who had visions had been kept around, that would have been more strange.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?

Charlie is a strong parent. He is a good parent. No parent would ideally know what to do with their child in Bella's situation. He's handled it very well.

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?

poor alice. i don't think she quite knows what to do about it. she definitely feels down about it.

1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?

I was expecting Carlisle because of the car.... I didn't expect Edward because of the harsh things he said in the woods.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?

No not at all it was already obvious that vampires don't like werewolves and the other way around. So Alice reaction was normal.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?

My oppinion is that there is still to little that we now about Alice her historie. So if her parents were barbaric i dunno... Maybe they have a very good reason for everything i doubt it but still i don't now.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?

I was surprised that he noticed bella's pain so well. Now i'm thinking of it that was stupid of me because Bella was a reck so he would notice if he looks at her. How i see charlie didn't change much i only was surprised that he saw that and that it hurted him so much!

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?

Well i felt like alice her confidence was slammed into the ground at that point.... She trusts her second sight and now it isn't working the way she's used to!

1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?
at first i of course thought it was going to be Edward or one of the Cullens. then that fear that it might be an enemy crept up inside of me. when i found out it was Alice i was jumping up and down with excitement, even though it wasn't Edward i was so happy to have Alice there, she could brighten any ones day. but also for me it meant that Edward was going to be making an appearance soon.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?
not really, my opinion of them didn't change until Eclipse.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?
i felt so terrible for Alice, i couldn't believe her parents could do that. i don't know if barbaric is the word but they were definitely horrible.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?
it made me appreciate him a lot more. it showed me that he doesn't miss everything and he's not just some dad whos afraid of tears so he just ignores things. it really broke my heart how actually attuned he seemed to be to Bella's numbness, i felt terrible for poor Charlie having to go through that.

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?
i think it affected her confidence an awful lot. i mean she's used to seeing everything and the fact that she couldn't see the werewolves probably made her question her abilities.

A: per usual I'd hoped for Edward but all things considered Alice was a perfect choice.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?

A: Probably but I think I was already tainted by Jacob's behavior.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?

A: A little but I don't think we can judge too harshly. We don't know exactly what they were thinking and feeling.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opinion of Charlie as a parent?

A: He feels horribly inadequate and wants to do so much more.

1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?
I thought it was Victoria. I figure she got smart and went back and got the car. When she open the door and saw Alice, I felt better. Emmett or Rosalie could've been there just as long as Victoria wasnt there.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?
No, I love the pack.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?
To know that Alice had to spend months if not years locked up just because she had a gift is so awful. I dont know if I find her parents barbaric, I think it had to to with the time they lived in.
If it was now I think they would be locked up and use to get rich, win wars and anything with power. It has to do with the time you live in.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opinion of Charlie as a parent?
Charlie watched his daughter almost die from a broken heart and it was nothing he could do. Im sure he felt it was his fault because Bella was living with him when she feel in love and had her heart broken.

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?
I think once she understood it made her feel a lot better. Seeing Bella jump off the cliff and not come back really hurt Alice, but to understand why Im sure made her feel better just a little.
In the winter Jacob Black is good...in the summer Edward Cullen is good...the best of both worlds.
