1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?

To be honest, I was still expecting Victoria and I though Bella was being a bit of an idiot going in be herself. It could have only been too easy for Victoria to do some more research and then trick her into a false sense of security.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?

Not particularly. The pack and the vampires hate one another so they aren't going to say anything nice about one another either.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?

Her history is horrible really. And it is difficult to judge the actions of her parents. It was the early 1900s and it isn't like anyone really knew what went on in those insane asylums until later on. Plus we don't know what her parents economic or social standings were. They could have not been able to afford to keep watching after her that way and honestly had no other choice.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?

It boosted my confidence in him. Charlie has always been in the background as a parent yes, but as readers we aren't exactly confident in his parenting or his level of caring for Bella and this really proved it that he is a caring father who is really in a situation with his daughter that he was not able to handle as much as he tried.

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?

It definitely shook her confidence quite a bit. Espeically because Bella has been hanging around them alot so Alice would not know if she is any danger or not which would thoroughly annoy her.
Here, there, and everywhere...that's where you'll find me.

1) Who were you expecting in the house? Where you disappointed it wasn't Edward?
I was expecting Carlisle since it was his car. I was a bit disappointed that Edward was not there, but Alice is the next best thing.

2) Did Alice's reaction to the news of werewolves in forks taint your opinion of the pack?
No, not really. I did really like them to begin with. Yes, they're a nice group of guys, but they weren't the Cullens. And no matter how much Jacob would deny this, they're just as dangerous.

3) What do you think of Alice's history? Do you find her parents to have been barbaric?

I thought Alice's history was very interesting. It's nice to see that she didn't turn out bitter. I don't know what the think of her parents. They weren't in the inner circle of society, but that doesn't mean that they did not have to keep up with the social norms.

4) This is our first real glimpse into Charlie's pain, how did the scene between Charlie and Alice effect your opion of Charlie as a parent?
I always thought that Charlie was a great dad, seeing the pain only strengthened that.

5) An important piece of information was learned in this chapter reguarding Alice's second sight & werewolves, how do you think this effected Alice's confidence?
I think it was a blow to her confidence. She knew that her visions weren't infallible, but to the point where the can be cut off, I think that was a huge shock to her.

1. I was like Bella, I'd given up expecting to see Edward for a while. I was expecting to see any of the other Cullens and I was glad it was Alice.
2. Nah, I expected Alice to dislike the werewolves because of the whole natural enemy thing. I still thought they were pretty cool.
3. I thought it was cruel of Alice's parents to fake her death because she was crazy, but maybe that's just what was the norm back then.
4. This scene definitely made me more fond of Charlie. It was nice to see how much he cared and it me understand how Bella always feels compelled to do things for him.
5. I don't think it really affected Alice's confidence. After all, she has little confidence in the accuracy of them. I think it was more of an annoyance to her.

1. I was actually expecting to see Victoria there at one point. I don't know, I mean there was a dozen possibilities running through my mind at this point. I was glad it was Alice though-she's the next best thing for Bella next to Edward.

2. No, I knew that they didn't get along well. I was actually expecting a more outraged or surprised reaction from Alice than what happened.

3. I though her parents' actions were reasonable when you factor in the time period. I felt bad for Alice when I learned of her history-it must have been a very tragic experience for her.
I was also surprised to learn that she saw the visions before she was a vampire-so her visions aren't really her vampire power at all...

4. As twisted as this might sound, I really enjoyed listening to Charlie tell Alice how hopeless he felt when Bella was a zombie. It shows that he was really concerned for Bella and tried his best to help her get through this. He might not have known what exactly to do to help her, and he accepted that he wasn't the best for her in this situation. So, he thought that Renee would do a better job and be able to get Bella back to the way she was.

5. This discovery definately lowered her confidence (which I think is a hard thing to do with Alice). She knew that her visions were imperfect, and this knoweledge just added to that. She must have felt very useless.
"I was with Edward in my happy place."
