1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, 'If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me.' What do you think she means by that?
If Edward wasn't with her, she couldn't possibly be in heaven because to her, Edward is perfect in every possible way, like an angel. And there are no angels in hell.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, 'What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?' Edward contemplates 'the odds' what do you think he is thinking about then?
What are the odds that there would a funeral at the same time that Bella jumped off a cliff and nearly died? Edward shouldn't have relied on Alice's visions so much. He should have at least called in to check. Especially since he got his info from Rosalie.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullen's would actually have a chance against them?
No, not really. The Volturi are much more experienced then the Cullens and they have Jane. But if Bella is changed and possibly has an amazing gift, maybe they have a chance.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
She came to this decision because Edward wasn't budging and she was sick of it. He's not the owner of her and there are others who care just as much about Bella, just maybe not in the same way. ;)
I think that Edward is probably angry because he doesn't want Bella to be changed. And he probably didn't think she'd figure a way to get around him.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?

No Edward is synonymous with hell for Bella. So the fact that he is there means that she can't be there. Also with her thoughts that is soul isn't damned to hell but I don't think she was thinking that at the time.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?

How strangely the odds are so stacked against them yet everytime they seem to defy the odds. He should have died 85 years ago but instead he still lives and finds someone he loves and not just anyone but a human that he can't possibly hae a relationship with but they do anyway. Oh the odds...

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullen's would actually have a chance against them?

Yes and no. The Volturi come across as much more ruthless and they are definitely much more experienced than the Cullens at fighting other vampires. However, the Cullens seem to have much more raw talent (then again we don't know all of the powers within the ranks of the Volturi especially Alec's powers) and Alice's and Edward's are very much unlike what any of them have giving the Cullens a distinct advantage in that case. The Cullens would be much more passionate to defend themselves than the Volturi probably would to destroy them. It would be interesting to see a confrontation between the Cullens and the Volturi but I would fear the outcome because it could possibly go bad for the Cullens.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?

Because she has already involved the rest of the family in her dangers whether it was with James in Twilight or with this whole event in NM. So she might as wel involve the family in this. She already feels a strong connection to most of them. (I think at this point basically with Jasper and Rosalie it's shaky still) I think Edward already knows what Alice's reaction will be but I think he is hoping that the others will not be as willing especially with Carlisle knowing the risks and such.
Here, there, and everywhere...that's where you'll find me.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?
--Edward's with her. It's heaven for her, and the worst hell she can imagine is when he's away.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?
--More or less like 'Ooooh.' Dammit, Jake. :P

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them?
--Hard question. The Volturi are sort of the big 'n scary guys. Honestly, with all those guards and those powers, I think the Cullens would go down like trees if the Volturi decided to show up.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
--I think that Bella wants another opinion because she's afraid to choose for herself, and she doesn't want to force this on them. If they don't want her, then she'd stay human and feel good with their choice. And I think Edward is probably thinking of alternatives during that run to his house. Anything to keep her human. :P

I guess it depends on how you look at it...

The Vultori are very powerful and they have like a collection of vampires with special powers.

The Cullens are also powerful but in a different way. They have Alice who can see the outcome (unless it involves werewolves), and then Edward can read their next move but only minutes/moves before they make it. If Bella was turned into a vampire before the Vultori came i think they'd have a better chance because there are a lot of hints that make it seem like Bella's special power is going to be really awesome. The Cullens also have thier powerful family bond. They will keep fighting for each other until there's no one standing.

So I think if the Vultori came for Bella the Cullens would totally win..

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, 'If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me.' What do you think she means by that?
I think she means that being with Edward is her own personal heaven. So even if she was in hell, it wouldn't be hell to her.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, 'What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?' Edward contemplates 'the odds' what do you think he is thinking about then?
I think he is thinking about how likely it was that Bella killed herself. I think he figures that it was probable because he has probably seen part of the pain she was in through Alice.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullen's would actually have a chance against them?
I do think the Cullens would have a chance against them, but I think there would be losses on their side.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
I think that the fact that she is is unwilling to put any of the Cullen's in harms way because of her mortality any more was a major factor. I think she also realizes that Edward is not going to change her willing. I think Edward was confused as to why she wanted to go to the house at the moment, it would be an odd time for a reunion.

1. She means that if she was truly in hell, she wouldn't be happy and with Edward.(that was a bad explanation, but you know what I'm saying)
2. I think he was thinking about how awful both his and Bella's luck is...
3. I don't know, it all depends on what special abilities the Volturi have on their side.
4. Probably when Alice said that she would change Bella, she got the idea that basically all of the Cullens wanted her in their family.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldnt be with me." What do you think she means by that?
A:She means Edward is her angel. She doesnt believe he could possibly be evil when he tries so hard to be good.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates the odds, what do you think he is thinking about then?
A:I think he's thinking about his desicion, and maybe even putting the pieces together about how wrong he was. He might even be going through the vulgar language is ugly of how he felt when he thought he lost her.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them?
A:Im not sure. The Volturi know how to take care of matters...however, so do the Cullens. :D

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
A:She wants to be immortal, and she knows some of the Cullens feel that way too. When Edward hears why, he probably is thinking of how he can keep her from going. He knows too that some of the Cullens know it's the right thing to do in order for them to be together, yet he doesnt want to ruin her life by ending it.
"Vampirism is cheaper than Botox, and lasts longer." ;D-Tantalize

Yeah...I had an Edward...and a Jake...but my Edward left, and so did my Jake....and now im alone. :(

1. Heaven is supposed to be like the best and your happiest place I guess. So the only heaven Bella would want would have Edward in it. If Edward wasn't there, it would be hell for her.

2. I think he was thinking about how Bella came into his life. In Twilight he says like she was summoned out of his own personal hell to ruin him. Also, the two of them just seem to have so much bad luck, what with Bella always being in danger and getting hurt. For example, what are the odds that James would track Bella and want to kill her?

3. I really don't think they would have a chance against the Volturi. They are outnumbered and outpowered. But the Cullens would certainly try their very best.

4. Bella has a spur of the moment idea to go have a vote because she desperately wants to become a vampire to be with Edward. By becoming a vampire, she thinks that she'll be so beautiful and strong that a repeat of the last couple of months would never happen and Edward wouldn't get bored with her. Edward probably realizes that this is what she's thinking and wants to prove his love for her. He might also be trying to come up with a way to deter her.
"I was with Edward in my happy place."
