Did anyone else notice this? Ok on pages 505-506, Bella asks Edward what he was doing up untill 3 days before. Well he was tracking Victoria... down to Texas... Where Jasper said that there were armies of Newborns way back when... Next book... Victoria's Got an Army Of Newborns! oh wow... I just noticed that... Do you think that could possibly be why she was there.. cause the attacks were fairly close to the begining of the book.

1. i think that by bella says that if she were in hell edward wouldn't be with her becuase she believes edward is so much better than her on so many levels. she believes that edward if he died, would go to heaven because of how good he truly is even though he did kill all those humans.

2. I think that edward is thinking about the actual odds of him being told that bella hd killed her self and a boy telling him that Charlie is "at the funeral". i mean edward is crazy smart and he could probably figure out the true odds of this happening.

3. I think that the cullens would have a small chance against them. i mean the volturi (who i hate) have lots of people in the guard. we know that the five that make up the family wouldn't come but still...their gigantic guard might be a problem. plus the volturi has jane who could easily distract anyone by smiling at them. but the cullens are amazing so they could have a chance.

4. i think that the fact that the decision affects her and the cullens is why she is putting it to a vote now. she loves the cullens enough that she would go to italy by herself in order to save them from harm by the volturi. i think that edward is thinking that his family will side with bella, but that it doesn't matter whatsoever. he must be thinking that no matter which way the vote goes, he can just stop the renovations at all costs.
does anyone know where i can buy an edward?? i love him

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?

She's telling Edward that if Bella is in hell, he wouldn't have been with her, since she believes that Edward has a soul-- a good soul that could never be put or brought into hell.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?

Maybe he thinks that Bella is already dead, since Rosalie called him to tell him the very same news (that Alice saw Bella jumped off the cliff) so maybe his first assumption is that Bella is already dead.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullen's would actually have a chance against them?

I think yes. Although the Volturi are strong enough to kill other vampires easily, I know that Edward and the others won't give up on protecting Bella.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?

I think Bella knows that most of the Cullens wants her to be one of them so that they (Bella and Edward) could be together forever, she knows that for a fact and she also knows that Edward couldn't protest when majority of his family stands up for something.

I think Edward's pretty nervous because he knows that he'll not win over this.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?

Edward is Bella's angel. Angels aren't in hell.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?

The fact that Alice saw her jumping off of the cliff, and because of how stupidly clumsy our girl can be!

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullen's would actually have a chance against them?

The Cullen's could fight off anyone!

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?

Edward is against changing Bella. He feels it's a damnation, and doesn't want her to lose her soul. I think he's apprehensive.

I've been thinking WAY too much...

Post by mrsedwardcullen24 »

These questions were provided by Be My Escape.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died, she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?

I think that means that because she loves Edward so much, the only hell she could experience is being away from him. And also, (i'll paraphrase) in one of the books, she says something like "the only heaven I'd want would have to include Edward". And there you go.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds". What do you think he is thinking about then?
I think Edward's thinking about how adverse their relationship is to nature. Vampires are supposed to drink humans' blood, end of story, not have relationships with them. (see either New Moon or Eclipse--Jacob's fish & eagle example). And also, how everybody always wants to kill/harm Bella/how danger-prone she is. :D

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullens would actually have a chance against them?
Meh... not sure on this one. On one hand, there's seven (hopefully soon to be eight) vampire Cullens, so they should be able to handle the Volturi, even if they bring the whole motley crew (see Eclipse: newborn "war" [I'd say skirmish]). On the other hand, what if Aro comes and gets physical contact with Edward? Aro could see Edward's thoughts he's had in the past, and therefore he would see where he hid Bella. So, in the end, I think it's more likely that they'd be able to take them, with a possibility of them not being able to. :D

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
I think she wants to know kind of how the rest of the Cullens would react to her becoming a vampire, among other things, such as wanting to know whether the Cullens were nice enough to want to keep her, and also their lives :D. I think Edward was mad, just because of the text, about her wanting to become a vampire.

Random stuff:
Kudos to Be My Escape for such thought-provoking questions. :D

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, 'If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me.' What do you think she means by that?

Bella truly believes that Edward has a soul. Which means that he would be in heaven not hell with her if she/they died.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds? Edward contemplates the odds what do you think he is thinking about then?

I think he is thinking about the fact that everyone is against them, nobody wants to see them together not even Edward. Maybe he was thinking about killing himself because he couldn't live without her anymore, which would explain why he thought it was a coincidence.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullen's would actually have a chance against them?

Yes and No. The Cullen's would die defending Bella, but the family is so connected they would probably get tired of fighting against the Volturi and seeing their family get hurt. Still they would do all that they possibly can to make sure Bella lives.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?

Bella thinks that the only thing stopping Edward is that he doesn't want to be with her. She thinks of the vote as a way to see if his family feels the same way. Edward is probably thinking that he doesn't care what his family decides. Plus they probably already knew that this would happen.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, "If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me." What do you think she means by that?
She means just that. If she died it wouldn't make sense that Edward would be in hell with her, that would be heaven.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, "What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?" Edward contemplates "the odds" what do you think he is thinking about then?
That the odds must have been one-in-a-million. For a close friend of Charlie to die the same day as Bella went cliff-diving, and a funeral to be set just as quickly. And for Jacob-of all people- to pick up the phone and tell him he's at the funeral. It hard to have any hope left after all of that.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullen's would actually have a chance against them?
I totally love the Cullens, but I don't think that they can compete with the Volturi guard who are trained vampire-destroyers.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
Bella decided that I was unfair to keep putting the Cullens in danger time after time. And I bet Edward was thinking about a lot of words that I can't post here

Except I rather have a real Edward Cullen.

1. When Bella thinks that she has died she states, 'If I was in hell, you wouldn't be with me.' What do you think she means by that?
I think that she means if she is dead and Edward was with her, then she could only be in heaven.

2. In the part where Edward is telling Bella that he should have been more careful before he went to Italy, he says, 'What was I supposed to think when the boy said Charlie was at the funeral? What are the odds?' Edward contemplates 'the odds' what do you think he is thinking about then?
He is thinking about fate. What are the odds that Alice would get a vision that Bella was dead and at the exact time Edward calls the house to check it out some boy answers the phone and says that Charlie is at the funeral. How coincidental is it that one of Charlie's friends would die at that time.

3. Edward has a plan for if and when the Volturi come to check on Bella. Do you think the Cullen's would actually have a chance against them?
I think it depends on how many of the Volturi show up. The Cullens are a pretty big and talented and powerful coven. I think they would not give up on anything without one hell of a fight. The Volturi also do not comprehend the feelings the Cullens have for each other. That is pretty powerful and can weigh in their favor in any fight.

4. At the end of the chapter Bella decides to put her mortality to a vote. What do you think made her come to this decision? What is Edward thinking when he hears why she wants to go to his house?
She wants to be a part of Edward's world completely. She is torn because he is being so stubborn about it. She also dearly loves all of the Cullens. The last thing she wants to do is cause any problems for any of them. I think Edward gets very panicked. He knows he won't have a chance to keep Bella human if she reasons with his family.

Wow, I never thought about it like that before... nice job.
