Chapter Twelve - Intruder

Post by Alphie »

Becasue of a misunderstanding, these questions come from both Taxi and Alcyone.

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic changes?

2. In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why did you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silences? Or was it something else?

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

4. How did you feelabout Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confrontation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the 'pack' were responsible for the murders that were occurring?

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic changes?
i first realized it when jacob said something like he already told her the truth.

2. In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why did you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silences? Or was it something else?

maybe i've seen or read to many fanasy things, i knew that he actually couldn't say it, not that he didn't want too (that probably doesn't make any sense)

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

i was a little shocked at first, and thought that oh great there dranging something else into this story. but as the book went on, i began to realize it will cause serious conflict, which is going to move the story along. so in the end i guess i liked it.

4. How did you feel about Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confrontation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

at first i thought it was going to make it worse, because as bella said him appoligising isn't going to make her okay. i think he didn't redeem himself until the following day on the beach, when he tells her exactly why he treated her the way that he did. that he really didn't want to be like that.

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the 'pack' were responsible for the murders that were occurring?

i didn't think that most of the pack actually murdered anyone, just were capiable of. sam i wasn't sure about but i was positive jacob didn't kill anyone.

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

i thought that she was going to go an warn them, because even though jacob treated her so badly she still cared about him. i would have gone and warned them, because if jacob meant as much to me as he does to bella then i would want to make sure he's okay.

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic changes?

I actually started thinking that when she had her dream back near the beginning of Twilight. I was all like: "That would make so much sense!" And they way Billy acted about Edward almost confirmed it for me.

2. In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why did you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silences? Or was it something else?

Well, at the time I think I thought it was loyalty issues. He wanted to tell Bella, but couldn't risk betraying his family.

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

I think it was...fitting. Of course it only make the crap they're going through even worse. I mean, if Jacob were a human then him and Bella would have a way easier time staying friends.....Edward wouldn't be as opposed to them talking if they weren't mortal enemies.

4. How did you feelabout Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confrontation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

I was glad he did it, because I felt really bad about he had treated Bella. But it can only go so far in fixing everything. Revealing the problem only goes so far in fixing it. But I did appreciate his honesty.

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the 'pack' were responsible for the murders that were occurring?

On some level yes. I always figured that the "giant wolves" people were sighting were werewolves, and werewolves are known to kill people.

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

I think Bella cares about Jacob enough to tell him, no matter the risks. If she would risk her life for Edward (who I hated at this point in the story) then she could at least tip off her best friend. I would have done the same in her position.
Does knowing make this any better? Any easier?

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic changes?

I figured that something pretty drastic had happened to Jacob. His behavior was so contray to anything I would have expected from him. He was devoted to Bella. For him to cut her off the way he did just didn't make sence.

2. In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why did you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silences? Or was it something else?

He was struggling so hard to get the words out and was so frustrated that he couldn't I wasn't sure what was happening. He had always been up front and honest with Bella it was obvious he was under some kind of restriction that he wanted deperatly to get around.

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

I felt so bad for him. He was always the kind of guy that I hope my daughters find some day. Patient, kind understanding, funny, insightful, etc. I felt even worse for him because this was such a big thing to have happen and his own father had failed to prepare him for it. How he could trust Billy after this I don't know.

4. How did you feelabout Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confrontation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

I loved Jacob all the more. He was putting so much value on Bella and their relationship by making the effort in coming to her. He desperatly wanted her to understand that he still cared for her deeply but thaat something had happened and he wasn't at liberty to talk about it. He gave her all the clues he could to guide her to the truth. He was awsome.

(Can you tell that I love Jacob.)

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the 'pack' were responsible for the murders that were occurring?

No, that did not make sence. They had been identified as "protectors". I guess I just held onto that.

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

I felt that she would go to Jacob with her warning. Although she truely believed at that point that the pack was reponsible for the attacks she hoped that by warning them they would stop.

1. I figured that he was a werewolf before New Moon even came out. I had my suspicions.

2. I wasn't sure what it was. But I did find it annoying that Jacob couldn't talk with Bella outright. I knew it wasn't Jacob's fault, but still...

3. I liked it. It made sense for him to be so. Sadly, it just causes more problems. If Jake were human, Edward would be less opposed to him.

4. I was glad he at least tried to explain. It was an attempt at redemtion.

5. I thought that the wolves were responsible. But now that I knew that the wolves were Jacob's pack, I wasn't so sure.

6. I would have warned him anyway. And I'm glad Bella went down there. She doesn't think about the consequences for herself. No sense of self preservation.

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic changes?
I didnt realize it till Bella realized it. I tend to catch on to things slowly.

2. In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why did you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silences? Or was it something else?

I think it was hard for him because he felt that he couldnt betray his family. I think its also extremely hard to tell your best friend, as well as the girl youre in love with, that you morph into a giant wolf.

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

I thought it was by far the coolest thing ever. I was definitely surprised, but it was a good kind of surprised. I love Jacob, so I wasnt upset with his change. I embraced it.

4. How did you feel about Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confrontation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

He was rude the night before but I knew that he'd come through...I knew that he couldnt have kept it for too long from Bella. I thought it showed how much he truly loved and trusted her.

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the 'pack' were responsible for the murders that were occurring?

I did not. I figured it had to be some kind of Vampire out there.

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

I think she did good by telling him. Why? Because that's what best friends do. They are honest and loyal with one another. I mean Jacob took care of her, during Edward's absence. How could Bella not tell Jacob the truth? I would have done the same.

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic changes?

I first suspected he was a werewolf when Billy tried to pass him off as sick. I'm sorry, nobody gets sick to the point where it seems like they dropped off the planet. Besides, there's not a doubt in my mind that if Jacob had only had mono, Bella still would have been stubborn enough to go over there.

2. In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why did you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silences? Or was it something else?

Well, I guess I was under the impression that it was physically impossible to tell a secret that the pack leader said had to be kept quiet. He might have felt a little guilty for hinting to Bella what he was, but at the same time he knew he could trust her.

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

I thought it was pretty cool. I like vampires AND werewolves. I didn't like it, though, becuase I knew this would cause complications in their friendships. I was mildly surprised.

4. How did you feel about Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confrontation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

I was happy because he was acting a little more like himself. He explained what was going on as best as he could and he apologized, so of course I think that redeems him. After all, he may have been a jerk earlier, but it was only because:

a) Due to being a werewolf, he has a hard time holding his temper.
b) He's going through a hard time with the change.
c) It's not like he could tell the secret at the time!
d) He was afraid Bella wouldn't like him anymore.

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the 'pack' were responsible for the murders that were occurring?

Well...at first, yeah. I really didn't think Jacob was capable of it, though. I thought that maybe the rest of the pack was.

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

I thought she would warn them. It's what I would have done. I mean, she really had no proof of what was going on, and Jacob's her best friend. Therefore, she has an obligation to be trustworthy with him.

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic changes?

I first suspected that jacob was a werewolf when I first heard about the big bear or wolf that was in the woods. I just had a feeling that it was jacob. So I was wrong about that but I was right about what jacob was. I was very suspicious when he got sick. I knew it was not the same thing bella got.

2. In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why did you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silences? Or was it something else?

I just thought that javcob was quiet about it beucause he did not know if he should tell bella because he was scared it would scare her and also beucause he knew that she was friends will vampires and he was not sure if he could trust her with his secert.

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

I liked the fact that jacob is a werewolf. it just makes the plot better and it makes eveything a little more exiting. I never likes werewolfs and I never liked jacob either so it fits perfectley.

4. How did you feelabout Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confrontation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

It did not redeem him for me. it just shows that he can not control his emothions and new power that he has. I think it made things worse. it made it look like he was guility. Also it just proves that he is very confused about his feelings for bella.

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the 'pack' were responsible for the murders that were occurring?

I did think in the begnning that the pack was responsible for the murders in the woods.

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

I knew should would go warn jacob. that is just in her nature to do. she is not only caring but she also has to have everything out in the open with the people she cares about. i would not have done that thought. he treated her so bad, if that was me I would of just let him learn. but again, he was her best friend so I guess I would just have to be put in that situation to know what I would do.
I was already past trying to live through one week at a time, or even on day. I was fighting to make it through a single hour. It was only a matter of time - and not much of it- before I showed up at your window and begged you to take me back. I'd be happy to beg now, if you'd like that.

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic changes?

Werewolf crossed my mind a long time in advance, but I put it aside as being too weird, even for Twilight!

2. In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why did you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silences? Or was it something else?

They have that mental link, don't they? So they could all tell what he was doing. Whereas Bella 'guessed' about Edward being a vampire, this is Jacob breaking the rules outright by telling her. Guilt, fear, whatever ...

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

Haha! It was WEIRD. Scary, especially because of all those murders in the woods. I suppose the only REAL competition Edward could ever have would be from a non-human?

4. How did you feel about Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confrontation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

I felt really sorry for him! Although I was still pining for Edward, you could tell that this is the sort of guy Bella needs in her life - or needed, past tense?

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the 'pack' were responsible for the murders that were occurring?

Yup. Damn, I was scared for her.
But then, they did chase away Laurent for her.

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

I knew she'd go. She's so very loyal, which I guess turned out to be a good thing in the end. I don't think I could've gone, as an outsider, but if I was Bella ... impossible to say.

I have trouble with coherence. Please bear with me.

1. When did you first suspect Jacob was a werewolf? When Bella realized it or had you been suspicious of his drastic change?

I was suspicious of his drastic change but i didn't figure out he was a werewolf until Bella did.

2.In various occasions, Jacob tries to tell Bella what is happening but is abruptly cut off? Why do you think this happened? Was it guilt or fear that prompted his sudden silence? Or was it something else?

I think it was a little bit of both guilt and fear, guilt because he felt like he was betraying the pack by telling Bella about it, and fear because he was affraid that Bella would be discusted by him turning into a giant dog.

3. What did you think of Jacob being a werewolf? Was it surprising? Did you like it? Why or why not?

I thought it was scary with the murders of the hikers and campers.

4.How did you feel about Jacob after he came over, trying to explain himself about the confruntation earlier that day? Did it redeem him for you or make things worse?

I think he redeemed himself by going over to Bella's house telling her he was sorry and trying to explain his situation.

5. Did you think that Jacob and the rest of the "pack" were responcible for the murders that were occuring?

I didn't think Jacob was responcible for the murders but I wasn't sure about Sam and the rest of the pack.

6. At the end of the chapter, Bella debates with herself as to whether she should warn Jacob or if she shouldn't. What did you think she would do? What would you have done?

I Knew she would warn him because she loved him not in the same way she loved Edward but she still loved him. I would have warned him because I wouldn't want him to get hurt.
