These questions were prepared by ECABS.

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?

2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?

3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow?

4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?

5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?

I actually assumed automatically the werewolf assumption. This is probably due to the fact that I had read Twilight over a dozen times before finally getting a hold of New Moon. I definetly remembered the conversation that they had about the vampires and I kept wondering why Bella didn't think of it first. Then, of course, I realized she was blocking out everything that made her think of Edward which included that conversation.

2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?

Wishful thinking made me hope that it was, but somehow I knew that it would have been too good to be true. My first thought was that she was hallucinating. Then when it ended up being Laurent I was excited to see the return of another vampire (despite the fact that he was undoubtedly there for 'evil' reasons).

3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow?

My first thought was werewolves. As stated before I suspected that they were going to come into the story, similar to Bella's dreams. When one of them looked at her I knew instinctively that it was Jacob. Bella even said that there was something 'human' about them, more intelligient then the average wolf. I didn't think that Edward was involved in any way (much to my disappointment).

4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?

Most definetly. I had a gut feeling that he was in the process of becoming one, especially when he began hanging out with the 'gang'. It wasn't natural for him to do that unless there was a good reason (and becoming a werewolf is a good reason in my book).

5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?

It definetly crossed my mind. I almost hoped that she would attack so that it would bring Alice or at least one of the Cullens running to rescue her (preferably Edward). I originally thought that Edward was still around somewhere, checking up on her. That, of course, turned out to be wrong but it was my initial thinking.

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?

I thought that he wasn't sick, but I'm not sure if I knew that that was the time he would change.

2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?

Tough question...no, I not Edward. I belive I thought it was one of the other Cullens. Possibly Jasper for some reason.

3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow?

I thought, FINALLY these werewolves all the reviewers were talking about, lol. I pretty much knew from there that Jacob was one of them.

4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?

Yes, but because I was horrribly spoiled by the reviews on amazon and Barnes and Noble. But you know what? It's not a hard leap to make. Jacob disappears for a bit and suddenly the wolves are around? It would have been a bigger thing if he hadn't been one.

5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?

No. I certainely wanted to; I wanted to give them what-for for leaving Bella in this mess. But I didn't they had anything to do with it.

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?
I figured that he was no longer ill if he ever was. I, at this point, started thinking about the possibility of jacob being involved in the "cult", and i sort of had ideas floating around in my head about what they might be.
2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?
No, I hoped it was Edward, but I thought that it would be a little too ideal if Edward was waiting for Bella at the meadow....I didn't know it was laurent, but i figured that Bella wouldn't find Edward unless he chose for her to, and if so, why would he wait in the meadow for Bella to happen along? Edward does not seem like the torturing type of guy.
3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow?
This is the point where all my suspisions fell into place....I figured that i almost knew for sure that Jacob was that werewolf. I was glad that they came to rescue Bella, and I knew that there was no more danger for her at that moment, but to tell you the truth I was just glad that Bella heard Edward again. This part was also a little sad because I kept waiting for Edward to come and save Bella, and when he didn't, i knew that he was really gone.
4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?
Yes I did. I already had some suspisons, not all realistic, but when the wolf looked at Bella in the meadow, I knew.
5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?
I hoped that they would. I waited and read hopefully, but after a chapter or two, I realized that they must not have known. I sort of lost hope after that, thinking that Edward may not be coming back...I thought that he would be keeping tabs on Bella, but i guess it was too painful.

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?

I didn't think he was sick. I just thought he was being rude and avoiding Bella.

2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?
Yes I did. I was hopeful and desperate for Edward to return.

3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow?
I thought it was weird and awkward. Kind of out of place. In this particular scene, I didn't think Edward was involved...but since the bears were mentioned in Chapter Five I thought he would be in some way.

4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?
No I was not paying much attention to him on my first read through.

5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?I hoped for it.

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?
I was as suspicious as Bella was.
2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?
No, I didn't think it was Edward
3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow? I did suspect that Jacob was involved with the pack. I knew Edward wasn't though
4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?
I already suspected it during the begining when Jacob wouldn't visit with Bella.
5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?
I did think that he would come back... somehow to protect her.

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness? Yes. It seemed very odd because of how quickly he became sick. He seemed really happy at the movie theater for it to happen all of the sudden.

2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward? Yeah, I really hoped it was him or at least a Cullen come to see Bella. I was pretty shocked when I saw it was Laurent.

3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow? I was pretty surprised they came. I guessed that the wolf that looked at Bella was Jacob because of how he looked at her. Also because of his mysterious illness.

4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf? I definitely got the feeling that Jacob was hiding something, but not specifically being a werewolf. Once he saved her from Laurent though, I suspected it then.

5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back? Yeah I definitely got excited thinking Edward wouldn't let Bella get hurt. I just get waiting, I was shocked when he never came.

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?

I suspected there was a connection between the huge bear, the cult and Jacob being sick, but hadn't put it all together. Billy's reaction of keeping Bella away confused me so yes, I became suspicious.

2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?
I honestly don't remember thinking anythng. I was probably reading too fast to find out who it was instead of taking the time to wonder.

3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow?
4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?

This is when I put it all together. The description of the different looks of the werewolves tied it together for me. Although, I didn't think the one looking at her was Jacob, until the lead werewolf (Sam) growled and forced werewolf/Jacob to concentrate on the task at hand - killing Laurent.

5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?

complete honesty here: At some wretched point, where I couldn't stand not knowing if the Cullens would return, I looked at the end of the book. I'm horrible that way. I always hate when I do it, but I just can't help myself.

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?
A. i thought that Jacob was sick at first, but then i thought it had something to do with the werewolf thing(damn spoilers...gets you evey time). Again, I was suspicious.

2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?
A. no way. i thought that it wasn't time for edward to come back (even though i love him and was angry at him for leaving). bella wasn't done moving on somewhat. i thought that if he did return, like he said, she should move on. though she didn't fully, she was better than when she first started out.

3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow?
A. again, the damn spoilers. i thought that the way steph described them was pretty good. it stuck with most myths, yet it had her own little twist. that's what i like about her writing: it has the classics, yet her own ideas. it shows creativity. i did think it was jacob. (i really need to stop reading spoilers).

4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?
A. do i really have to answer that question? ;O)

5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?
A. Yes. now this totally goes against what i said earlier. though i didn't think edward was ready to return, he kind of needed to. i mean, who could get over someone when a phsycotic maniac who was just like them was after you with bloodthirsty revenge?(literally)

1. What did you think was wrong with Jacob? Were you as suspicious as Bella about his illness?

I was very worried. So many things were going through my head except for the correct reason. I was hoping he wasnt hurt, or terminally ill. After a while of him not responding to her phone calls, I started thinking that maybe he was upset with her for not returning his feelings.

2. When Laurent appeared out of the trees did you also think like Bella, that it was Edward?

No. I immediately sensed she was in danger.

3. When the wolves came out of the forest what were your thoughts? When one of them looked at Bella, did you suspect it was Jacob or that Edward was involved somehow?

I should have realized that it was Jacob especially when she describes his russet color and his dark eyes, but of course, I did not.

4. At this point in the story did you already suspect that Jacob was a werewolf?
Nope, not until he comes to her window.

5. Did you think that now that Victoria was hunting Bella that Edward and the Cullen's would come back?

I always figured that Jacob would take care of it. Edward was away, so how could he have known about Victoria? I didnt think Edward would stay away as long as he did at first. But when he did, I didnt think he'd be back for a looonng time. I trusted that Jacob would take care of both, Bella and Victoria.
