2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?

Maybe because it's where she feels closest to him??

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are

I think that maybe he thought she'd eventually get over Edward. (yeah, right! lol!)

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on? for being so confident and not giving up?

Well, first of all, I'd SO much rather have Bella be with Edward than Jacob. But in a way I think she was smart to try and move on. And I also admire her for being ABLE to even try! :D

1. Jessica switches allegiance by siding with Lauren and convincing others to not go on the group outing. Do you feel that, based on Bella's actions the night of the bar incident, her reaction is justified?

hmm.. I think not. She's still absolutely annoying to me, and I can't imagine myself having sympathy for her for what happened. She has no idea how to deal with friends, that's why she doesn't have any.

2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?

I think she chose the meadow because it held so much meaning for her, and for her relationship with Edward. So many things were revealed there, and it was there that she fell in love even more with him. It held so much of that memory of Edward she wanted to hold on to, it was difficult to resist revisiting the place.

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are for being so confident and not giving up?

Hmm.. Jacob is very determined, I guess, to be with Bella. He loves her anyway, and doesn't care that she's too in love with Edward to be with anyone else. He's taking care of her anyway while he's gone, and I think he truly believed he'd never come back.

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on?

Bella was losing hope and faith. She had tons of reasons to. Months and months of it, actually. She also felt sort of guilty with Jacob, after all, the boy has been going at her for a while. She deserves to be happy, anyway, and I think it isn't a betrayal at all.
in which there is nothing to say. xD Except maybe with these~

Bella creeps Jessica out and Jessica is just annoyed by Bella like many New Moon readers. "Damsel in Distress ugh."

2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?
She's trying anything at this point, and she feels strong enough to try for something as personal as the meadow.

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are for being so confident and not giving up?
He knows how important he is to Bella.

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on? She's trying to pick up the pieces of her life, but "the first cut is the deepest".

1) I don't blame Jess for being freaked out, but I think that was a little over the top.

2) I think because it's such a meaningful place for her and Edward.

3) He thinks Edward isn't coming back. He knows Bella likes him and that makes him confident.

4) She's thinking about moving on, and I think that's good, especially since she thinks Edward doesn't love her and she'll never see him again.
"You know, Jacob, if it weren't for the fact that we're natural enemies and also that you're trying to steal away the reason for my existence, I might actually like you."
"Maybe...if you weren't a disgusting vampire who was planning to suck out the life of the girl I love...well, no, not even then."

Yes, and no all people make mistakes.

2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?

Because they spent so much time there together.

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are for being so confident and not giving up?

Being a werewolf of corse.

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on?

kind of sort of, I mean I know she will always love Edward, but a person can love more than one person.

1. Jessica switches allegiance by siding with Lauren and convincing others to not go on the group outing. Do you feel that, based on Bella's actions the night of the bar incident, her reaction is justified?

Haha, yes! Honestly, if I was Jessica, I'd think Bella was insane, too!
But I think I'm too nice a person to actually convince people NOT to go places with her.
That's just downright MEAN.

2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?

Because I think that the more places she can think of where their love was the strongest, the more likely the chance of hearing his voice again.

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are for being so confident and not giving up?

See. THIS is why I love Jacob.
<3
I think it's part of his nature, that he won't stop trying until he gets what he wants, and he does with with a good spirit, too.

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on?

This is proabably the smartest thing she could do.
I didn't want to see Bella moping around for the rest of her life and grabbing at the aching pain in her sides whenever she thought of Edward.
She needed a little Jacob.
She needs Jacob.

sort of. I know if i saw someone do that when i was with them i would think they were out of it. But i don't think i would try and convince people to not hang out with her.

2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?
It's basically were i think she fell even more in love with him. Its their place.

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are for being so confident and not giving up?
I am not sure.

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on?
I don't think it is betrayal of her heart, Edward left her, she didn't know if he was going to come back, so it was time to move forward.

1. Jessica switches allegiance by siding with Lauren and convincing others to not go on the group outing. Do you feel that, based on Bella's actions the night of the bar incident, her reaction is justified?
Yes. Bella really scared her and put her in a bad position, so I am not surprised at all by Jessica's reaction.

2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?
She is trying desperately to hang on to anything to keep Edward real to her. That meadow held such a special meaning to their relationship that she hopes it will keep him in her head.

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are for being so confident and not giving up?
I think he has liked her for a very long time. Yes he knows that she has been hurt very bad by Edward, but he is hoping if he does not give up, that when she does pull of this slump, she will see he has been there the whole time waiting for her.

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on?
I don't think of this as a betrayal. It was very hard to accept, but Edward was the one who planted the "Be Happy" thought in the back of her mind. It's not like she would be giving her whole heart to him anyway. Edward will always have a special place in her heart no matter how her life ends up. No one can ever take that away.

1. Jessica switches allegiance by siding with Lauren and convincing others to not go on the group outing. Do you feel that, based on Bella's actions the night of the bar incident, her reaction is justified?
No I think that Jess is overreacting, yes it was wrong of Bella to put them in that position but nothing happened and she did apologize. I think Jess is more upset about that fact that since Bella has come out of her trance, people are one again happy to surround her and give her attention. I think Jessica is jealous and will always be.

2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?
Because it was somewhere that was so special to them it was the first time that thing came out completely in the open, everything was put out on the table. Not to mention it's where they declared their love for one another.

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are for being so confident and not giving up?
I think he was set in his mind he knew he wanted to be with her not to mention the fact that the wolf features were becoming more apparent. I think Jacob knew at this point that he loved her and it was the driving force behind his actions.

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on?
Although she thought about it, I don't honestly believe she would have followed through ever. The love she has for Edward bound her with him so tightly that she would feel like she was betraying herself if she was to have accepted Jacob's advancements. Edward is her first choice and I don;t believe anything could change that!

1. Jessica switches allegiance by siding with Lauren and convincing others to not go on the group outing. Do you feel that, based on Bella's actions the night of the bar incident, her reaction is justified?
Yes and no. I've tried to put myself in Jessica's shoes, and I can see why she sided with Lauren, but I also think the she's being pretty immature about it. bella is obviously trying to make amends, and she throws it back in her face, espicially by siding with Lauren, who everyone knows dislikes Bella. But Bella's actions the night of the bar incident were a little inappropriate, BUT, she got to hear Edward's voice, so for me, that makes it OK

2. When the motorcycle loses power to summon Edward's voice, Bella begins to search for the meadow. Why do you think she chooses this as her next attempt to conjure his voice?
I think she's choosen the meadow because it was the second time when they were together that Bella actually felt a little scared and afraid of Edward. Both times are encounters when Edward has nearly lost control of his self control, it's the closest she's seen him to for what he really is, and in that sense, she's returning to places that were reckless for her to be in in the first place, when she was with Edward.

3. Bella is amazed that Jacob never gives up on pursuing her, despite rejection after rejection. She wonders where he gets the confidence. Based on what we know of Jacob, what do you think he reasons are for being so confident and not giving up?
Because, essentially, Bella has already come back to him. Even though it takes her a few months to come out of her numb shell, she does, and it's because of Jacob, and I think he recognises this. Bella also spends all her time with Jacob, and this, whether she intended to or not, leads him on.

4. Bella knows that part of her will always love Edward, yet she begins to entertain the idea of Jacob being more than just a friend. Do you see this as a betrayal of her heart, or is she smart to press forward and think about moving on.
I am all the way for Team Edward, but at this stage in the book, the most rational response from Bella would be to entertain these types of thoughts about Jacob. Entertaining an idea, and acting it out, are two different things. It's not a betrayal of the heart, because she doesn't actually act on her thoughts about him.
