1. At what point were you worried for Bella?s safety with the thugs? Or did you have some idea that Edward would show up just in the nick of time?

I was worried from the very moment Bella decided to walk through Port Angeles alone. I mean, honestly guys: it's Bella!
When those thugs showed up, I was extremely scared for her because I didn't expect Edward at all - I still thought he was "hiking"

2. How did you feel about Edward?s emotional reaction to the whole situation? Were you afraid of him? Were you worried for Bella?

I really appreciated his reaction. It showed how much he cared for her, how important it was to him that she was safe. But it also showed another side of him that he usually tries to hide - his dangerous, angry side (which is, if you may excuse this very unobjective comment, surprisingly attractive  )
I wasn't worried for Bella at all, there was not the slightest possibility, that he would've done her any harm.

3. Were you surprised that Edward told the truth so quickly about his ability to mind read? Had you guessed that this was his secret?

I was very surprised about him being so honest and willing to share his secret with her. I would've expected him to be more reluctant. His change of mind may be due to the fact, that he had just experienced the fear to loose her. I kind of guessed that he could read minds - his knowledge of things he wasn't suposed to know was pretty obvious.

4. What is your personal theory as to why Edward can?t hear Bella?s mind. If you have read New Moon, don?t attempt to answer this.

Read New Moon.....

5. Did it concern you at all that Edward keeps such a close watch over Bella? Did it seem somewhat like a stalker to you or did you just brush it off?

Now, my opinion on this is really weird, but I can't help it. It was kind of logical to me. All the time, there was this strange edge to his behavior, a struggle I couldn't really understand until I knew about the whole appealing-blood-cantante-thing. He didn't want her to be close to him but he couldn't stand away from her neither. I guessed that he was kind of.....obsessed with her. So, when he confessed, that he had been following her, it wasn't that big a surprise. And I think it was kind of romantic - in a very strange, unhealthy way, but still romantic.

1. I wasn't really worried for bella and the thuggs because i had thought that edward was going to show up and save the day i though this because bella well nothing could really happen to bella because she's the main character and edward had to be the galliant knight.

2. At first i was afraid of Edward and thought that he was a bad kid that didn't really like bella. I also though that he had something going on with two personalities or two people inside of him or something since he was nice to her sometimes and then he was angry. I was really worried about bella and i though that this book was sort of going to end with her getting killed or something.

3. I was really surprised when Edward all of a sudden confessed to bella that he could read minds and i had never really suspected it i had though that something was going on but never had a i had the thought that he could read minds.

4. At first i had though that it was because bella was edward's soulmate and that set her appart from edward in some way and they had been made like that so that edward didn't know everything that she was thinking and so that their relationship could be stronger. without edward knowing everything that was going on in Bella's mind.

5. I though that Edward was just a little overprotective about his girl like all of the other guys out there. i didn't one think tha edward was a stalker.

1. I wasnt afraid at first when she saw them, but after she saw that some were following her, i was immerdiately scared for her. I was so relieved when Edward camed.

2. I was afraid at all, I just figured he was mad at the thugs for almost hurting the girl he'd been trying to protect.

3. I dont remember if I was surprised about his talent or not. I think at that point he was just tired of keeping secrets from Bella.

4. I read New Moon.

5. No, his behavior made sense to me. Not once did I think it was stalkerish.

1. At what point were you worried for Bella?s safety with the thugs? Or did you have some idea that Edward would show up just in the nick of time?
I was worried right when she was off in the dark streets, it was just a creepy atmosphere. I had no idea Edward was going to show up, total shocker.

2. How did you feel about Edward?s emotional reaction to the whole situation? Were you afraid of him? Were you worried for Bella?
I could tell he was getting emotionally attached. And I thought it was sweet that he was watching out for her. What else has he got to do?!?!??

3. Were you surprised that Edward told the truth so quickly about his ability to mind read? Had you guessed that this was his secret?
I think he wants to be open with Bella because they seem to have a deep seeded connection that he feels.

4. What is your personal theory as to why Edward can?t hear Bella?s mind. If you have read New Moon, don?t attempt to answer this.

5. Did it concern you at all that Edward keeps such a close watch over Bella? Did it seem somewhat like a stalker to you or did you just brush it off?
I think he feels a little over protective sometimes. He just wants to keep her safe.
I heart Rupert Grint!!
Forks is my happy place!
" "Don't be afraid," I murmered.
"We belong together."
I was abruptly overwhelmed by the truth of my own words.
This moment was so perfect, so right.
There was no way to doubt it.
His arms were wrapped around me,
Holding me against him....
It felt like every nerve ending in my body was a live wire.

1. At what point were you worried for Bella?s safety with the thugs? Or did you have some idea that Edward would show up just in the nick of time?

I actually thought she was going to fight them and eventually Edward would show up and get her away.

2. How did you feel about Edward?s emotional reaction to the whole situation? Were you afraid of him? Were you worried for Bella?

I definitely knew he wasn't going to hurt Bella or do anything to her. And for a guy that just saw someone he loved being harassed he handled it pretty well.

3. Were you surprised that Edward told the truth so quickly about his ability to mind read? Had you guessed that this was his secret?
I wasn't so surprised Bella would've bugged him to death if he didn't tell her how he found her eventually especially because she was on a dark and deserted street.

5. Did it concern you at all that Edward keeps such a close watch over Bella? Did it seem somewhat like a stalker to you or did you just brush it off?
I think he was just being careful considering her record with different catastrophes.

1. At what point were you worried for Bella?s safety with the thugs? Or did you have some idea that Edward would show up just in the nick of time?
I thought that she would die. Then remembered that there was still 3/4s of the book left.
2. How did you feel about Edward's emotional reaction to the whole situation? Were you afraid of him? Were you worried for Bella?
I wasn't worried for Bella because none of his anger was really for her. He did make some irate comments towards her, but she was never in a life-threatening situation with him. Well, as much as you can be traveling with a vampire. But I thought his reaction fit him, and showed how much he is actually involved with her life.
3. Were you surprised that Edward told the truth so quickly about his ability to mind read? Had you guessed that this was his secret?
No, Edward had been debating on what do about Bella and then decided that the best thing was to be honest. After that decision in Alaska he was prepared and willing to give her any information she needed or wanted. I was slightly taken aback by his ability.
4. What is your personal theory as to why Edward can't hear Bella's mind. If you have read New Moon, don't attempt to answer this.
That they're minds are so similar that he doesn't need to know what she's thinking.
5. Did it concern you at all that Edward keeps such a close watch over Bella? Did it seem somewhat like a stalker to you or did you just brush it off?
Definitely creeperish. It made me feel rather uncomfortable.

1. At what point were you worried for Bella?s safety with the thugs? Or did you have some idea that Edward would show up just in the nick of time?

a) I was totally Freaked out! I knew nothing that bad would happen (like her dying) But it was so scary!I had no idea that Edward would show up...I knew someone would save her, was kind of obvious that it was Edward but my mind never clicked!

2. How did you feel about Edward?s emotional reaction to the whole situation? Were you afraid of him? Were you worried for Bella?

B)I thought this part of the chapter really showed me how much Edward cares for Bella. I was not scared of Edward nor was I worried about Bella. Wherever He is , shes safe.....Somehow.

3. Were you surprised that Edward told the truth so quickly about his ability to mind read? Had you guessed that this was his secret?

C)I Knew that since the start. It was surprising that he told her so quickly but she guessed it, right?

4. What is your personal theory as to why Edward can?t hear Bella?s mind. If you have read New Moon, don?t attempt to answer this.

D) READ NEW MOON NO COMMENT

5. Did it concern you at all that Edward keeps such a close watch over Bella? Did it seem somewhat like a stalker to you or did you just brush it off?

E) I thought it was a little weird but hey, he IS weird, I mean he's a VAMPIRE! But I just brushed it off I mean he did save her like a THOUSAND times.

Time to drive??

Post by JHartnow »

So, have you ever google-map'ed the Forks area? Olympic National Park is GI-NORMOUS. It looks to be only 2nd in size to Yellowstone. Plenty of mountain lions there, I'm sure!

It's 15.4 miles to La Push from Forks and 56.3 miles from Port Angeles.

I know it all sounds obsessive, but I wanted to gage the distance that these areas are in in relevance to the time spent in cars, etc. Even though Edward drove super fast from Port Angeles that night, it's still a good ways away. Let's say that Edward was driving at a steady 90mph clip (just so he wouldn't scare Bella TOO much). That's still 37.5 minutes they had in the car together. And seeing that the roads out to La Push aren't highway, the speed limit is probably no more than 55. Not that her truck goes much fast than that anyway. That would still put her about 30 minutes away from the reservation.

My other point...with today's prices...Bella must spend all of her money on gas going out to La Push.

1. At what point were you worried for Bella?s safety with the thugs? Or did you have some idea that Edward would show up just in the nick of time?

At that point, I was feeling concern for her being lost. I had no idea that Edward would show up.

2. How did you feel about Edward?s emotional reaction to the whole situation? Were you afraid of him? Were you worried for Bella?

I wasn't afraid of Edward or Bella's safety in his care. I was more relieved that he showed up to take her out of that situation, despite his "temper" issues.

3. Were you surprised that Edward told the truth so quickly about his ability to mind read? Had you guessed that this was his secret?

I didn't know he could read minds at this point. I also didn't think he gave up the truth all that quick and easy. Bella totally engulfs his senses and at that point he knows there's something much deeper there. A vampire's version of "imprinting", maybe?

4. What is your personal theory as to why Edward can't hear Bella's mind. If you have read New Moon, don't attempt to answer this.

I've read the series thus far, so I won't give anything away.
I do think that Bella's mind is the key to SOMETHING greater that we'll find out in BREAKING DAWN.

5. Did it concern you at all that Edward keeps such a close watch over Bella? Did it seem somewhat like a stalker to you or did you just brush it off?

Since Bella wasn't scared, I wasn't scared for her. He genuinely wanted to keep her out of harms way. And plus...would you LOOK at the boy?? Who would throw that out of ANY room, let alone their BEDroom!

twilight - port angeles

Post by Levi2k8 »

1) I was worried about her right from when she saw them, but i had a slight feeling that Edward would come to her rescue when she mentions seeing the silver volvo.

2) I had an idea that he would react like that and i felt slightly scared for bella but i knew that he wouldnt hurt her.

3)i dont think the way he told her was quick at all, but i could tell that bella could feel something between them, however.

4) i have read the enire series (up to eclipse because breaking dawn isnt out yet) and i have a feeling but i do think that bellas mind will have something to do with the main plot of breaking dawn... we will just have to see.

5) i thought that it was very sweet how edward looks over her and keeps his promises with her (even if he doesnt always want to) and also if bella wasnt scared then i wasnt. :D
"it will be as if i never existed" :(
