1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
Hmmm, no.

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
I thought, "What a cow"

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
I wonder if this opinion is induced by Eclipse but, he irritates me. lol

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
Coz he hasn't met Edward or any of the Cullens.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
Ummmm, read the next 2 books already. lol

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
I thought he might be hunting, especially when Charlie mentioned bears. We already knew that Edward was a vampire, so it wasn't too much of a stretch.
2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
I thought she was jealous. Bella received so much attention being the new girl and Lauren resented her for it. Her open dislike just made her look childish.
3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
I thought he was a cute kid, definitely had a crush on Bella. He was a little too eager.
4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
he probably thought they were just silly old legends passed down to scare the younger generations. Old campfire stories, they sound good, but have no actual truth. Bella right away noticed something was different about the Cullens, but she couldn't put her finger on it. The stories just confirmed her gut feelings.
5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
Werewolves are cool, most of the time.

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
I just thought he enjoyed danger, that he was an out there kind of guy, living on the edge and all.

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
Ha, Lauren makes me laugh. To us, Bella is a nice girl trying to fit in in a new town. Lauren, it seems, is trying to keep her popularity status and feels Bella is a threat. Lauren tried to make her the enemy, but it's funny how the boys at the school still fawn over Bella. Lauren's immaturity compared to Bella's maturity just makes me chuckle.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
Wouldn't any teenage boy want to have an older, cuter girl be more than just a friend? I thought Jacob was cute, but never really expected much from him. Boy, was I wrong.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
If Jacob had seen the Cullens first hand, I bet he would take heed of the legends a little more seriously. But since he'd grown up around such tales, he didn't really need to pay attention to them. It's like the fables we grew up with, who would really think Cinderella was real if you hadn't seen her for yourself.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
Oh yes, anythings possible *cough cough*.

my answerrrrrs

1.What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?

I knew he must have been there'eating. =)

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?

I've known a lot of girls like Lauren, so I was just like MEHH, you suck for being sucky. Haha. Yes. That's what I thought.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?

I didn't hate him, I didn't love him. I just saw him as a little insignificant kid. I totally got the sense that he was interested in Bella. It was pretty obvious.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?

He didn't have any reason to believe it. He had never seen the cullens'well maybe Carlisle at the hospital, but he didn't see their strangeness, so why would he have believed?

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?

I didn't really think about the werewolves at all in this book. I mean, speaking from after reading, but pretending that I haven't'I think it would be interesting to see the dynamic of these two "unreal" life-forms living in our world.

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
Ha, I just didn't like her.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
Sweet young kid. That is in love with Bella.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
Because i don't think he believe in an of the nonsence, he had no reason to believe it as fast and Bella did.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
I know the answer to this. But werewolves never crossed my mind.

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
I really can't remember what I thought; it was so long ago. I was still really biased against the book at the time, so I probably wasn't paying close attention.
2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
She needs to go eat a cow. No, scratch that, a cow needs to eat her.
3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
He just seemed like a happy, cute kid. And rather inexperienced with flirtacious girls. I like him :)
4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
He had heard them all his life and took them for granted. And Bella was searching very hard for an explanation for the car incident.
5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
Yeah that made me really suspicious.

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
When Charlie told Bella that Goat Rock was dangerous because of bears, it didn't make me mad at Charlie because of course he wouldn't let Bella go camping in a place of bears. And yes, I wondered what Edward might be doing.

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
Lauren was obviously jealous. ^^

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
When I first read about Jacob Black, I didn't like him because I usually don't like little boys. (He's not that little but he's still younger than Bella.) And I could tell Jacob was interested in Bella more than a friend.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
Well, because I guess he's not the type of person who believes on those types of things. I don't know. lol ^^.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
I don't like the idea of future werewolf books. This series made me have a strong disliking in werewolves because they hate the vampires so much. I can't believe I used to like werewolves more than vampires before I read this book.

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
No I just thought he was lying.

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
I really didn't like her.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
He was sweet and liked Bella.. yea I liked him.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
b/c he thought they were just stupid stories people told.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
Anythings possible...
:D

1) At first, I thought Edward had just been lying to Bella for some reason. But then, since the quote on the back of twilight is such a spoiler and I knew before I even opened the book that Edward was a vampire, I guessed that he might be hunting, because of the thing Charlie said about bears.
2) Lauren is really jealous and unfair. Why can't she give Bella a chance? She doesn't even know her... And it's totally not Bella's fault if Tyler (and just about everyone else!) has a crush on her.
3) I've always liked Jacob (and, yeah, I still do). He always seemed like a really interesting and great character to me and was a nice change after all the "OMG, Edward is so perfect!!!!" s. (No intention of upsetting Edward and his huge fanclub - don't be insulted. )
I did think he kind of had a crush on Bella, but hey, doesn't everyone?
4) I think there are two reasons: First of all, Bella is a real book worm and spends a lot of her time reading, and if you almost live in imagined worlds, I think you have a better chance of believing "impossible" things in real life.
Also, Bella says herself that she always knew Edward was something out of the ordinary and so she probably readily took any explanation that seemed reasonable to her. When Jacob turns out to be a werewolf (I think we can say it now, or did anybody not read new moon yet? ) she has a much harder time accepting it at first because Jacob was always so normal for her.
Jacob probably doesn't read as much as Bella and is also a very ordinary, down to earth kind of person. Plus, he never really got to know any of the Cullens or maybe he would have realised something was "wrong" with them, too.
5) Werewolves? Nah...

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
I kind of disregarded this comment when I read it, I was just like "oh, bears."
2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
One word: ew. I mean, does she have to be so obviously mean to Bella?
3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
Jacob! Sorry, I love that guy. Especially Twilight Jacob. He's so cute and little. (Compared to New Moon/Eclipse Jacob) I really liked Jacob, he seemed like a genuinely nice person.
4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
Seeing as Jacob had never been around the Cullens, I don't think he could compare them (and see the similarities) to the "cold ones" in the legends.
5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
Well, seeing as I've read New Moon/Eclipse, I don't think I can answer this one anymore.
