1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
No, I guess knowing that he was a vampire (even though Bella had no idea yet) kind of made it obvious in a way....kind of

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
Well, I think Lauren is a....well I won't use harsh language....she's jealous of Bella thats why she dislikes her. Lauren seems like a very vain person-and Bella took eyes off of her.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
I did like him, and he liked Bella. He came across as the sweet young kids that was taken by this 'older' woman (Bella's attempt at flirting worked on him-too well)

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
He grew up hearing the legends, like were like fairy tales to him. He assumed they were merely stories...no truth behind them.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
I would say at this point...anything is possible
If all else perished, and he remained, I should still continue to be; and if all else remained, and he was annihilated, the universe would turn a mighty stranger

1. I kind of figured he'd be out there hunting, just because I think vampires were big hiking fans.

2. I just saw he as another annoying high school drama queen.

3. I related Jacob to a little kid who has a crush on his older sister's best friend.

4. I wasn't sure if he did or didn't, but I thought he was doing everything he could to try and impress Bella.

5. Honestly, I wasn't focused on the werewolf part of the story at all.

Twilight: Chapter 7 ~ My Thoughts

Post by DreamerTacy »

What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?

I figured that there must be lots of wildlife up there. Bears and such. I also thought, "huh... maybe Edward is camping there, but since he is obviously a vampire he doesn't have a problem with the wildlife." I was kind of dense and didn't put the two together. HAHA

How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?

Pretty sure I didn't like her one bit... bleh. such an unattractive quality.

What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?

I really did like him. He seemed young and happy and youthful. At first I thought he was just really happy to talk to her and that he was just a happy person. Towards the end of their conversation though I got the vibe he liked her or had started crushing on her.

Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?

Maybe because Bella had already half decided Edward was a vampire. She already had the idea in her head, Jacob's story just solidified things for her. Jacob grew up hearing the stories, but having no tangible proof to make him think it was more than a story.

Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?

I think it will bring a wonderful dynamic to the story. If warewolves are truely the sworn enemy of vampires, it will bring out so much more to each character and relationship. You will be able to see the depth and dimension of the lives of these characters and really make this story become a classic.

Has any one else been wondering what Alice, Rose and Jasper were huddled in discussion about in the cafeteria on the fist part of "Sacry Stories"

It's been driving me crazy. :?

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?

I got it right away, I was like oh God he hunts bears. But at the same time I was like YES! they don't eat humans

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?

I don't like it, why dosen't she like her. What did Bella do to her, it's not like she can controll that Tyler likes her.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?

I loved Jacob and always will love Jacob. Yes I did, get that he wanted Bella as more than a girl, poor Jake.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?

Because he wasn't around to see it, and he's just a teenager who thought that it was stupid legons.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?

I feel kind of sorry for them. Some of them don't want it, they have to deal with the burden of defending the tribe for something that killed there people many years ago.

For the sake of this and future chapters - PLEASE - if you have read New Moon and/or any spoilers for New Moon, answer your questions very carefully and in a way that does not give out any information not found in Twilight. Thanks!

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
1) No, I pretty much got it that he was hunting. Actually, I knew that even before Charlie told Blla that.

2) It made me very very angry. But hey, there's got to be one in every book!

3) My first impression of Jake was that he was a friendly and fun-loving person. Yes, I did like him. I wasn't sure what SM would do with him, but I hoped he'd be a major character. And yes, I did get the impression that he was crushing on Bella.

4) Probably because Bella already knew there was something special about the Cullens.

5) Werewolves...definitely sounds interesting, and it would add a lot of spice to the story.
"You know, Jacob, if it weren't for the fact that we're natural enemies and also that you're trying to steal away the reason for my existence, I might actually like you."
"Maybe...if you weren't a disgusting vampire who was planning to suck out the life of the girl I love...well, no, not even then."

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?

My thought was Bella... Why did you tell Charlie anyway.

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?

Get a life Lauren

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?

Jake is young. I thought h was ok. And no I didn't get the sense he liked her more than as a friend. Jake is hard to see through though

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?

Jacob didn't believe the legends because he probably knew deep down. You never know what Jacob is thinking at all.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?

Sam is the major clue... Sam acts mysteriously and no body knows why. He has a strong dislike for the cold ones.

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
I actually thought the Cullens were hunting but not in their sense..more like hunting for sport. Silly, I know.

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
A typical teenaged girl. It reminded me of so many girls from my youth.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
I thought he was very sweet in this chapter and you could tell he was interested but I think it was simple crushing and nothing more at this point.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
Because I think Bella was already questioning things regarding Edward at this point and she was reaching for anything that would fit. Sometimes, you have to stretch to reach your destination.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
I never even thought about werewolves in future books.

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?
I knew what he was doing there, of course. But, I thought to myself how wonderful it was that he told her the truth.

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?
I thought it was incredibly misplaced. She's very jealous and not very like-able.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?
I thought he was... buoyant. I liked him, he was enthusiastic. I sensed he was interested in her in some other way.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?
Because I don't think he is as aware of things as Bella. They're just scary stories to him.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?
Very excited!

1. What was your initial thought about the fact that Charlie told Bella Goat Rock wasn't a good place for camping? Did you wonder what else Edward might be doing up there?

Maybe he lies OR he makes a joke. Does Edward want that Bella gets suspicous? I wasn't sure what to think about that...why would Edwards and Emmets father allow to miss school?

2. How did you feel about Lauren and her open dislike of Bella?

Lauren doesn't seem to be as adult as Bella. It seems like she is jelaous about the fact that Edward is more interested in the even NEW Bella.

3. What was your first impression of Jacob Black? Did you like him? Did you get the sense that he was interested in Bella as more than a friend?

Jacob seems to be still young. Bellas behavior plays up to him but I think that it could have been any other girl. Even the fact that a girl seems to be interested in him is everything that counts.

4. Why do you suppose Jacob didn't believe the legends of his people as readily as Bella did?

Nowadays people think you are mad if you belive in legends like this. Everything has to be proofed before anyone would belive in it. Jacob is just a kid of today and he doesn't know the "facts" Bella knows.

5. Given the fact that the stories about the "cold ones" are true, how do you feel about the idea that we could see some werewolves in future books?

I don't know. Hope the stories are good...
