1. We learn that Alice's visions change depending on the decisions of the person she is trying to observe. Did this surprise you at all or was this how you always thought her visions worked? And what does this say about the power of our own choices?

It surprised me, but pleasantly so. I think it is a great limitation to put on Alice's power, because it proves that we DO have power over our own futures. Our decisions, our choices, that it what makes us who we are, and guides us down our path.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?

Not very long, and I'm sure Edward could hear their thoughts before the plane even landed. He would have to be in agony. I can't wait for MS to come out to read this from his perspective, though!

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
I think it is hard to judge others based on what they did. Especially in times like these. But even now, if you were pretty sure that you were seeing events in the future, would your parents believe you, or would they think you had gone a little nuts?

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?

I believe that he was a very cruel human as well. We know that Vamps are attraced to spec. people, and it obviously wasn't his looks that made him stand it. I believe he was cruel and clever in life, and is now much more so.

This did surprise me. Sadly, I am a shallow person so I wasn't looking beyond the words much. But I thought it was pretty cool - like, "Yay! My choices actually affect the future." Can you feel the power?

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?

Hm, it might've taken them a couple minutes - Alice probably had another vision, though.... Hoho, but I bet Edward was fuming!!! He probably would've whacked Jasper or yelled at Alice, if time wasn't of the essence. That is something I'm definitely looking forward to reading when Midnight Sun comes out.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?

Alice's human family was a bunch of fearful, foolish gits. No, they were totally not excused by their time. If Alice's family had truly loved her, they would've lived with her, not send her away. Look at the Cullens! They probably love Alice more than her human family ever had!

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?

James was one sick, puppy. I wouldn't be surprised if he was an actor, or magician when he was alive. But it doesn't matter now - he's dead! Mwahahaha!

1. We learn that Alice's visions change depending on the decisions of the person she is trying to observe. Did this surprise you at all or was this how you always thought her visions worked? And what does this say about the power of our own choices?
I always though her visions depended on the choices people made. I thinnk it speaks very highly to the importantce of choice. It says that we have the ability to choose what will happen to us.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
I think as soon as Bella left and stopped shielding her decision, even to herself, Alice knew. Edward was prbably angry that Bella chose to go off on her owm, but he was probably more worried for what night happen to her.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
I think it says a lot about the time in general. In today's society, people like Alice are accepted for who they are. However, in Alice's day, she was seen as a freak and an outcast. I think her family did what they though was best for her.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?
I think this says that he had a flair for all things dramatic. He enjoyed seeing things as elaborately presented as possible

This doesnt surprise me at all. This says about the power of out own choices that once we make a desicion things can change dirastically. So be wise
2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
It was very clever of Bella to escape the way she did! I think after about 5 min Jasper realised something was wrong. Then he ran to tell Alice. She probably checked the bathroom. Then when they got Edward they ran to go get her. But by this time Bella was already in the cab
3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
This tells me that they were probably very proper and thought that the fact she had a "6th sense" was unexceptable. Knowing this, it surprises me that as a vampire she's so bubbly even though she couldnt remember her human life
4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?
He was completley twisted 0_o;;

1. We learn that Alice's visions change depending on the decisions of the person she is trying to observe. Did this surprise you at all or was this how you always thought her visions worked? And what does this say about the power of our own choices?

I wasn't really surprised by that information because I never thought that the future can be fix in any way. Things keep changing and so does the future. It also shows how very important our own choices can be - there is a certain impact, no matter what we do. The decisions we make can change everything.

2. How long to you think it took Alice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?

I don't think they needed a long time. There were not so many options, so I guess it took them only minutes, probably. Edward was mad, I'd say. Completely out of control or something like that.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?

Well, I would really like to know what her parents were like. Without knowing anything about them, it is a bit difficult and maybe also unfair to judge them. I can't see why having strange impressions or visions should be a reason to put someone into a mental institution. Probably her parents were too afraid of the opinions of the people around them so they decided to better get Alice out of the way. I'll never understand that though. Who would do something like this to a child they love?

4. James is somewhat of a performance artist, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?

Well, I am not sure what kind of life James had as a human. Would be interesting to know about his former profession. I'd say that during his time as a human, he was a very selfish person, caring about his own needs more than about anything else. I guess he didn't have many real friends, stayed more to himself. When he wanted to have something, I guess he just took it without asking. I also imagine him as a very persistent person - which is what makes him such a good tracker.

I never really thought about how Alice's visions worked, but I suppose I thought she could see a potential future, not the actual future. It says the power of our choices is much bigger than we lend to them.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
I think they knew right away what she was going to do and where she was going. Unfortunately, they had to wait for Edward and I'm sure he was growling mess when they told him. I'm sure Alice gave him the letter right away as well. I'm surprised that the letter didn't play more of a role in the rest of the story.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
It says that Alice's family was probably normal for the time.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?
Probably an actor?

1. It didn't surprise me, but i never thought about it that much. Our choices contain a lot of power with our lives. Bella choosing to go to James almost got her killed, if she had decided not to go she wouldn't have almost been killed and her mom would still be fine.

2. I think that it took about a minute and a half for them to figure it out. Jasper probably asked Alice to go make shure she was there after she didnt come out. I bet Edward was not very happy. If they were alone he probably would have growled a lot and ran after her, but being in an airport with people around he couldn't do that so he was probably even more mad about that.

3. I think they were a little justified with sending her there, but maybe a little rash. We don't know about the circumstances that they were under. Her family seems ashamed about her going to the asylum, but i don't think they loved her any less for it.

4. This says that James was a crafty person in his human life. He could have been a performer of some kind or a ham of a person.
I had dinner with Dracula in my dream last night. He's pretty cool and a good cook...go figure...

1. We learn that Alice's visions change depending on the decisions of the person she is trying to observe. Did this surprise you at all or was this how you always thought her visions worked? And what does this say about the power of our own choices?
It didn't surprise me, so to speak, but it's not how I pictured them working. I thought, originally, that she just saw the future, not future decisions (although I guess in any cases but those of weather, they mean the same thing) but once it actually said that the vision changed once the course of a person changed, I thought to myself, "Ohh, that makes sense." The future is, after all, an uncertain path :)

2. How long to you think it took Alice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
Probably no more than 10 minutes. I imagine Edward would be very frightened for Bella, worried, and furious, not only that she had gotten away from Jasper and Alice, but that she was going off to meet her death

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
I don't think it was justified. They're still her family. There had to have been a way to keep her with them without exposing the premonitions to the public.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artist, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his character or his life when he was a human?
Maybe he was an aspiring actor :D

This chapter was again intense it was the chapter where bella got really badly injerd and well its one of my favourite chapters along iwth the angle!! well that reason it because well its the chapter bella gets bittne and almsot dies it was kidna sad when i read it and sometimes my mind would wonder and think about how edward took the news oof bella being gone...i imagned him kidna going nuts!!haha--and being mad/worried and confused i imagined him kind of running out of the air port...but caeful to stay in the shade and then they stioeel a car..and drive very very fast to the mirror...also i imagined that carlisle wouldn't let edward drive (haha) because since edward was soo worried that he might go out of controll..and i mean he is already a very fast driver..anyway back to the real chapter it was just.....ookay i can't find the words to explain it but it was just wicked!! and thrilling!

1. We learn that Alice's visions change depending on the decisions of the person she is trying to observe. Did this surprise you at all or was this how you always thought her visions worked? And what does this say about the power of our own choices?
I wasn't surprised to find this out, because it seems logical, but I didn't think that was how it worked along. I thought what she saw was guaranteed to happen, but I can understand why that's not true. With the power of our own choices, it pretty much says that anything can happen with just one small alter in our decisions.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
I figured that Alice would figure it out sooner or later, and Jasper would come and tell her, and they'd instinctly call Edward...so, I figured it all happened very fast and that's how Bella was able to live.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
Alice's human family must havebeen one of those social families...and they'd do anything to protect their reputation, so they didn't want Alice anymore, to be truthful, because she would make them seem "unusual". I'm actually happy this happened to her, because she's my favorite character aside from Bella & Edward, so without her being in that asylum, it wouldn't have happened.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?
By reading this question, the phrase "you can talk the talk, but you can't walk the walk" reminds me of James...he goes on and on about how he's going to kill Bella, he sets it all up for the perfect opportunity, Bella falls into his trap w/ the tape of her mother, and as it turns out...he fails. He's the one that dies, so it seems like that as a human, James would go after anything. Ambitious, maybe...but in the wrong sort of way.
