1. We learn that Alice's visions change depending on the decisions of the person she is trying to observe. Did this surprise you at all or was this how you always thought her visions worked? And what does this say about the power of our own choices?

I'm not sure exactly what I thought about Alice's visions.. I don't think it was that surprising that it was really up to change.. though I sort of assumed that it was set in stone.
as for the power of our own choices- it really goes to enforce that we are really the ones in control of where we go with our lives. and that even the littlest change, can change everything. The domino effect.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?

I don't think it would have taken too long for them to figure out.. jasper can control the mood, and alice could have had another vision and run to check couldn't she? but if jasper can control things, how didn't he sense there was something not quite right...? I'm not sure. I am in the middle of re-reading. I don't remember if that was answered or not.
Edward I think would have been furious.. he has anger issues:P Not so much at Alice and Jasper, but that Bella would run off. Anger before dispair. He would be not very even tempered. Very worried, but anger keeps coming to mind...

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?

Alice's human family appear to be about as to be expected. That noone but god is to know what was going to happen before it happened. it was unnatural. Even today that wouldn't be very well accepted by everyone.
I think the "gift" would have scared them- Image is everything. They wouldn't want to be tied to that, it could get them all in trouble.
and as someone mentioned before- a source of gossip.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?

About his character- it sort of says that he is all about prolonging things, unwilling to let them end. and as a tracker, the chase is the fun, almost as good as the finish. He wants to make it elaborate to enhance his success.
As his life as a human- maybe this need to be so showy and determined is a result of being overlooked. He takes being a vampire as a second chance to prove himself and make himself known, even if just to his victims?

Nope. I never really thought about Alice's visions much until they were explained.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
I'm very curious about that. I guess we find out in Midnight Sun... but I think it would have been perhaps when Bella jumped into the elevator or the shuttle to the hyatt, besides they had to wait for Edward anyway.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
To be honest - it wasn't decades ago. I feel horrible but I think Alice's parents acted out of fear not trying to help.

No just smart to find a place like that for his stupid video.

It didn't surprise me in the least. What it says about our choices is that WE affect our future, as well as a few other peoples' choices. It says that future isn't set in stone about what we want in that moment, because what we want may change, which would change the choices we make.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?

It probably took them a few minutes.. Unless Alice had a vision of Bella being in the ballet studio. Edward probably... Angry and afraid, because he knows he could lose Bella.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?

I think Alice's human family may have been... I think they did what they thought was best (although I don't think they were right.). I think in that way it was justified.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?

James is... I think he's a sick person. I think maybe he could have been acting in his human life, and that's how he knows how to create such an effect. But, yea, definitely something wrong with him. I don't think normal vampires just do things like that.

1. We learn that Alice's visions change depending on the decisions of the person she is trying to observe. Did this surprise you at all or was this how you always thought her visions worked? And what does this say about the power of our own choices?

I guess I never really thought about how Alice's visions worked, but this certainly makes sense. We all make choices everyday, and those choices led us down certain paths, so I guess it makes perfect sense that Alice's visions can change. As far the power of our choices, it's easy to see how important they can be. If you make the wrong choice you can be on a totaly different path, way off course. Or you could be on a better path, it's all only a choice away.....

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?

it probably didn't take them long. Alice wasn't as preoccupied with finding James at that point, so she probably "saw" Bella leaving them. Edward was probably very mad. He probably blames Alice & Jasper (in some sense) for letting her leave.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?

No, it is never ok to lock someone up and forget about them. I guess in that time, it was commonplace to do such things, but it doesn't make it right.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?

He may have been a proformer of some kind, or he may just be sadistic (wanted to film it for Edward-mirrors would make such a nice effect, multipling all the blood and showing every angle over and over again). It's somewhat hard to picture him as a human in any way so it makes this quiestion a rather hard one to answer.

I thought that was how her visions worked before this. It made me think more about my choices, how just one little change could effect everything.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?

Im guessing a few seconds, matters on how fast Bella ran. Its not like Jasper was going to run is normal speed in a crowded airport. Edward was most likely really really really mad, he was probally thinking that he lost her forever.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?

I think her human family was really strict. I dont think they were right to do that just because she was different.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?

He was probably a very angry person.

I was a little surprised. I thought once she got a vision, that's how it stayed. I'm not really sure on the second question.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
I think it probably only took them like a few minutes. I think Edward was probably very mad and upset and worried.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
I think her family was very cruel for putting her through that.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?
I think that as a human he probably wanted to torture people.

I always thought that there's no changing and Alice just sees the things which will come true...I was a little embarrassed, how Stephenie describes her gift it's much more logical...if something like this can be logical :?

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?

I think Jasper waited a while and then Alice saw that Bella was gone...and then Jasper catched her scent...I thought that Edward was going mad, he would roar, scream in agony and frightened the whole airport. Then he would get very quiet, because he just concentrated to safe Bella...

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?

I thought it was a understandable choice...but I was very angry, no parents should give their child in a mental institution where it is mauled and mistreated...

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?

James must be a very special human. Thoroughly evil. Some who loves to see someone others pain, who loves to create pain. Someone, who know how you can hurt someone the most.

Well, I suppose visions do work like that. The future works like that. But, I didn't think of it when I learned that she had visions. I do believe that everything happens for a reason, and one choice leads to the next.

2. How long to you think it took Alice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
They probably caught her scent til she went outside. Alice could've saw her get in the taxi when she chose to do so. And she knew that James was at the ballet studio or her house. Edward most likely was... furious, worried, upset. He probably blamed himself for the situation.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
Alice's human family... didn't care that people thought she was crazy. No, they weren't justified. Whatever time period, it's not right.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artist, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his character or his life when he was a human?
He was very creative, thought a lot things through. In his human life, he probably never stopped until he knew he was getting what he wanted. He lived to torture.

1. We learn that Alice's visions change depending on the decisions of the person she is trying to observe. Did this surprise you at all or was this how you always thought her visions worked? And what does this say about the power of our own choices?
Yes, I was surprised. I know that if people really could see the future it would change depending on what they decided, but I've never seen it portrayed that way in any book before... except Twilight. Alice's version of the future makes loads more sense. In my mind, it's symbolic that she doesn't believe in fate. A single choice can change any one event.

2. How long to you think it took ALice and Jasper to figure out where Bella had gone? And how do you imagine Edward took the news?
It probably didn't take them very long... it only seemed that way because they contacted Edward first. And I don't imagine he took it too well. After all, for those of us who've read New Moon, we all know what happens at the end. He has a temper.

3. We learned that Alice was once a resident in a mental institution. What does this say about Alice's human family? Do you think they were justified because of the times they lived in?
Alice's family obviously wasn't very supportive. Even in those times, if somone was deemed 'insane' a supporting family wouldn't admit them to a mental institution.

4. James is somewhat of a performance artisit, using the mirrors to create a very effective death for Bella. What does this say about his charater or his life when he was a human?
Perhaps James was an actor in his human life... or a writer. We all know writers have interesting minds.

2. it didn't take a long time because they came soon. edward was probably scared and shocked.
3.alice's human family was strict. the didn't want someone different/not normal in their household.
