Re: Chapter 5 ~ Blood Type

Post by xoverdramaticox »

Do you personally relate to Bella feeling queasy around blood?

Yesss, majorly. It's not so much the sight of it as it is the wound and the visualization of it. When I see blood, I think of the cut. When I think of the cut, I think of the pain, and that causes a whole fit, making me feel sick and like I'm going to vomit. Anything relating to pain causes that, though.

Were you afraid for Bella when Edward scooped her up? Did you think the fact that their was blood around might endager her?

Not at all. I was excited. I smiled through that entire part, actually. I was curious where he was taking her, but I was excited for her. I mean, come on, it's still Edward.

Edward says that Bella doesn't seem liek a junior in high school. Do you agree or disagree with that assessment.

I kind of do agree. She acts beyond her years and she knows how to take of herself as if she is much older.

What did you think about Edward's demeanor this chapter? How is it different than in the previous chapters?

He seemed much more comfortable around Bella. It was cute and exciting how he was opening up to her.

Do you personally relate to Bella feeling queasy around blood?

Not really, I dont mind blood. In fact, I'm probably wierd, but I like the taste of it. Upon my studies, I've found three types of blood flavors: Salty, Metallic, and Sweet.

Were you afraid for Bella when Edward scooped her up? Did you think the fact that their was blood around might endager her?

Nah, I thought that she was going to be ok.

Edward says that Bella doesn't seem like a junior in high school. Do you agree or disagree with that assessment.

I kind of do agree. The way she carries herself makes her appear older.

What did you think about Edward's demeanor this chapter?
How is it different than in the previous chapters?

Ya know, I dont really know how to answer that.

1. Do you personally relate to Bella feeling queasy around blood?
Nope. I don't have too much of a problem with blood itself. Gushing, terrible wounds -- yes. Little droplets on a finger -- not so much. Now the needle'that's a whole other story.

2. Were you afraid for Bella when Edward scooped her up? Did you think the fact that there was blood around might endanger her?
I was a little bit afraid for her. I didn't think he was going to kill her or anything but I wasn't expecting him to actually take her to the nurse either.

3. Edward says that Bella doesn't seem like a junior in high school. Do you agree or disagree with that assessment?
Both actually. Bella has a lot of the same insecurities and feelings that are typical of the average high school student. But her actions, her curiosities, her feelings about other people -- those are far beyond her years.

<b.4. What did you think about Edward's demeanor this chapter? How is it different than in the previous chapters?
He seems less guarded, as if for the first time he is doing his best to really show Bella his true self without giving away his secret and in his eagerness to be open with her lets more slip than he seemed to have intended. This chapter is really when I began to fall for Edward, the back and forth banter and complete openness was so much better than the careful guardedness of before.

Do you personally relate to Bella feeling queasy around blood?

Yes, I really don't like the smell of blood. It makes me sick.

Were you afraid for Bella when Edward scooped her up? Did you think the fact that their was blood around might endager her?

No, I was actually really happy when he picked her up. I didn't even really think about her being in danger. I think at this point Edward just wanted to be around Bella and he was being to control himself.

Edward says that Bella doesn't seem like a junior in high school. Do you agree or disagree with that assessment.

I disagree, at some points Bella is really mature but then again she was can be really childish, which I love.

What did you think about Edward's demeanor this chapter? How is it different than in the previous chapters?

Yes, because he's really started to be kind to Bella and he just really wants to be with her. Before he wants to kill her and drink her blood, and now he just wants to be around her. I'm really happy about his change.

Yes, I can NOT watch doctor shows. >.<

Were you afraid for Bella when Edward scooped her up? Did you think the fact that their was blood around might endager her?
Not really, I thought she was just being a drama queen. haha.

Edward says that Bella doesn't seem liek a junior in high school. Do you agree or disagree with that assessment.
Yes, I think he acts much more older, and like Mrs. Cope thinks in Midnight Sun, he is probably much more smarter than most of the teachers, anyway.

What did you think about Edward's demeanor this chapter? How is it different than in the previous chapters?
I honestly don't remember a lot, sorry. >.<
I know he is nicer, and I guess that was just because he was intreuged by her. (sorry, I haven't read Twilight in forever... the book isn't mine)

1 Yeah, but mostly because the blood is normally being taken from me and I pass out because I have low blood sugar or something. Sometimes I'm okay with blood and other times I freak out. Like I think I would have been like Bella in this situation because, I have a diabetic friend and she has to prick her finger to test her blood sugar before lunch I normally run a way before that though, because I get nauseated (well, that's partly because I'm terrified of needles the bigger part is the actual blood)
2 No. I laughed. I was like, "OoOoOo....he LIKES her! *laughs manically*" *sigh* I was kind of acting like a 1st grader
3 I agree, though it bugs me beyond belief, because they just need to be immature sometimes. Well, Bella's mature, but only in certain areas of her life, I know what I say barely ever makes sense, but whatever.
4 I think Edward cares for Bella but he doesn't know why and he doesn't understand it because she's human.

Do you personally relate to Bella feeling queasy around blood?
No, the sight of blood doesn't really bother me. Of course, I haven't been in a situation where there was an excess of blood, so that would probably make me sick, but a little finger-prick or a bleeding cut is no big deal.

Were you afraid for Bella when Edward scooped her up? Did you think the fact that there was blood around might endanger her?
Afraid? No, not at all. Actually, I was incredibly excited that Edward picked her up; it seemed like he was taking another step in the direction of getting closer to her. Plus, he seemed genuinely concerned about her, despite the fact that he was teasing her mercilessly all the while.

Edward says that Bella doesn't seem like a junior in high school. Do you agree or disagree with that assessment?
Yes, I do - for the most part. Bella's overall demeanor indicates that she is very mature for her age, and the way she had looked after her mother and now her father as well made me relate with Renée's statement that Bella "was born thirty-five years old and gets more middle-aged every year."
But her feelings, and the way she reacts to her fellow high school students also told me that she is still just a seventeen-year old girl with a lot of emotional issues - something we all go through at that age.

What did you think about Edward's demeanor this chapter? How is it different than in the previous chapters?
He seemed to be a little less guarded around her. Of course there were moments when he got defensive, but for the most part he was opening up to Bella a bit. I was laughing when he dragged her over to his car so that he could take her home, and I thought it was so adorable when they realized that they both like "Clair de Lune".

Do you personally relate to Bella feeling queasy around blood?

Not really. And I don't know if queasy is the right word. That I might get a little, but definitely not full on fainting dizzy etc.

Were you afraid for Bella when Edward scooped her up? Did you think the fact that their was blood around might endager her?

Not at all. Well I didn't think much about the blood the first time I read it actually. I was too enthralled into Edward and the love story development to think things through clearly. But now reading it the second time through, I still wasn't scared. Actually I was more excited. Edward, even early on would do anything for Bella. I think he's always been stronger than he could ever imagine and absolutely nothing could ever tempt him enough to actually hurt her. This chapter still excited me beyond belief with Edward's pursuit of Bella. And oh Bella...the poor girl, just swooning and falling every second. It's so much fun to read.

Edward says that Bella doesn't seem liek a junior in high school. Do you agree or disagree with that assessment.

I agree because she doesn't really seem like a high schooler at all. She's not interested in the gossip, the boys, the dance anything. I think her maturity seals the fact that she's meant to be a vampire. I mean she's not normal, and for her to connect with Edward who's been roaming the earth for over a hundred years she has to have a some level of maturity that most high schoolers do not.

What did you think about Edward's demeanor this chapter? How is it different than in the previous chapters?

You can tell he's still so tormented but he just can't help himself. With Bella is where he has always meant to be. He knows it's dangerous but when it's your soul mate, the one person in the entire world and in time he can't help but fall in love with her. It's so different from before because he's finally letting himself go and discovering how strong his affection for her is and allowing himself to continue to explore that.

Do you personally relate to Bella feeling queasy around blood?
Around my blood, as long as it's not gushing out or internal organs aren't coming out, I'm not queasy. I can handle when my DS cuts himself. However, I cannot watch those surgery shows ... those def. makes me queasy!!!! And, if it involves bones/internal organs hanging out, I'll be passing out!

Were you afraid for Bella when Edward scooped her up? Did you think the fact that their was blood around might endager her?
No, I wasn't afraid for Bella. I knew she didn't prick her finger nor did she have Mike's blood on her, so I wasn't concerned that Edward might hurt her.

Edward says that Bella doesn't seem liek a junior in high school. Do you agree or disagree with that assessment.
Yes. I think the fact that she had to be the responsible one and literally take care of Renee, then be the one in charge of cooking and running Charlie's household made her mature faster than most kids. She has been a loner, for the most part, and isn't into that cliquey high school scene. It's different from most girls in high schools and I'm sure this is why Edward sees her as being more mature. She's not gossipy, giggly, flirty, silly.

What did you think about Edward's demeanor this chapter? How is it different than in the previous chapters?
He really shows his caring side, seems more open.
Do you sparkle in the sun?
