1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
Ok - bearing in mind that all I had ever known before the book about vampires was the Dracula theory. I was utterly shocked at their house! Couldn't believe it, how they could live with so much light.

2. This is the first time Bella meets the Cullens ( other than Carlisle ) and gets to for an impression based on her experience alone. In other words, Edward no longer describes them for her, she gets to see them herself. In this chapter, she mostly interacts with Carlisle and Esme, what were your impressions of them.
I really like both of them! Esme is so sweet and "motherly" as Bella had described her in Eclipse. And Carlisle, great guy. :)

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
No idea! I hadn't a clue. lol I didn't really think of that much...concentrating on Edward.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
Bella, she is very shy and for goodness sake, he's a VAMPIRE! :o

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
Big, beautiful, and any other word that can describe beauty.

I think they are both sweet. They are very open to this, they want Edward to be happy. and Esme is truely a motherly character. =D

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
I didn't think anything of it.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
Edward, because he doesn't know how she is going to take to meeting a house full of vampires, plus he can't hear what she is thinking so it is probably killing him inside.

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
I think it reflects the Cullens. it's physically beautiful and almost "untouchable" just like they are. the inside also reflects the relationship between the Cullens [as Edward says there are no secrets and what not]. i would love to live in that place, it seems so..serene.

2. This is the first time Bella meets the Cullens ( other than Carlisle ) and gets to for an impression based on her experience alone. They seem very inviting, and understanding. Which i think is important for Edward the most, because that's what he needs.

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
It gave me the feeling that nothing good would come of it, only because of what Edward had said before about them being dangerous, but able to resist her scent, however it could easily be guessed that "normal" vampires could not restrain themselves.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
I think Edward would be more nervous, mostly around Jasper because he was the "newest" at their style of living. He wouldn't know exactly how they would react until they thought about it.

Well, I was sure that their house was going to be different from the cliche house where vampires supposedly dwell. When the house was finally described, I thought it matched well with the Cullens. And as Edward stated, it was a place where they could be free and be themselves and I thought the house represented them well. It was in a secluded place, they usually isolated themselves from people. It was a magnificent find if you were actually lucky enough to see and visit the house, the Cullens are an amazing family to know once you get past the fact that they're vampires. :D

I remember that Carlisle and Esme were very cautious around Bella. It was probably unusual for them, a human knowing their secret and not running off scared. But I thought they were really friendly and warm ( ) towards her.

When I read that part, I was a little anxious because very few vampires live the way they do and a couple of them visiting would be a problem for Bella. But I had no idea that particular visit would play that big of a role with the plot.

Bella. Definitely. She worries a lot. And with good reason! It's hard enough to meet the parents of your boyfriend and his family, let alone when your boyfriend happens to be a vampire! Not to mention Bella knowing their deep, dark secret which could make their existence a bit inconvenient.

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?

I thought it sounded awesome. I could really picture it in my head while Bella was describing it. I was as surprised as Bella to find it so open and bright. It really shows everyone comfort level with one another (I guess with Edward around, they can't hide much
:)

I thought they were wonderful. They were trying to accept Bella and make her feel welcome in their home because it was so important to Edward. This shows how much they want their son to be happy, even if it's with a human  They were trying to ease any fears both Edward and Bella had, which was really sweet.

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?

I didn't really put too much thought into it. I was so happy for Bella and Edward that the vision seemed unimportant. I had no idea that it would become such an important twist in the story.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?

I think they were both equally nervous for very different reasons. Both are in unfamiliar situations and really want things to work out. Bella feels that because she is human that the Cullens will think less of her and not want her to be with Edward (while this is true for a few of them, the majority just want Edward to be happy). Edward is worried about a lot of things, as he should. What if Jasper can't control himself and kills Bella? What if Charlie finds out what he is? These are definitely not normal thoughts for a "teenager" in love to have. Edward says he was waiting for Bella to run away screaming....he should know better by now.

Do they have a spare room that I can move into?

Very very nice. They both seem truly happy that Edward's found someone he wants to be with, and I think they were probably impressed with Bella, seeing as she came to their house, which might be a little scary.
3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
I had no idea it was going to turn into everything that it did. I thought they might be mentioned, but not that James would go all crazy like he did...jeez, that guy was creepy!
4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
I think that Bella was more obviously nervous about meeting Edward's family, but I think he was nervous about sharing his whole way of life with her. He was worried about her screaming and running off.

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
-Beautiful. I love the south wall, I want one of those.

-I thought they were both, kind and respectful. I was very happy for Esme, she seemed so giddy about the whole thing.

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
-I knew it was going to be something bigger than they were acting like it was but I don't think I expected it to go anywhere near as far as it did.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
-I think Edward is eager to do all this stuff, meet the families, announce the relationship at school, all of that. He finally found who he's been looking for, he wants to shout it from every high place he can find. Bella is the more nervous one, I think because of her parents relationship she isn't as eager to get into one of her own, in fact I think she kind of fights it tooth and nail until she just can't describe the situation any other way, then she has to give in. Also there's a little anxiety about them being vampires, thus perfect in everything, and her being Bella and never being able to see her own true beauty, I think that helps make her really nervous.

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
Gorgeous, I think Stephenie described it beautifully. I could see the trees keeping the house out of view until you were practically on top of it. The interior I saw as open and bright and beautifully decorated.

Warm and loving parents who have a deep understanding of who their "son" is. Esme sounds like she is a little more timid than the rest of them and very maternal. I think she would be very easy to get along with. Carlisle seems like a human to me, he is very paternal with Edward and it seems he is genuinely happy that Edward is happy, they both seem very relaxed with Bella, even though they are a little guarded. I'm sure it's difficult for them knowing that a human is in on their secret but the handle themselves well.

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
I had a suspicion, especially when Bella asks whether or not they are vegetarians. I think that it was the only natural course for the story, there had to be a consequence for Bella loving a vampire, she couldn't just fall in love and that be the end. There are too many possibilities for disasters. And visiting carnivores was a very exciting prospect because the outcome could have gone in any direction.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
Bella, simply because she had only lived with Charlie for a couple of months.
Edward, although concerned because his family were vampires, has a deeper understanding of his family.
