1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
I didn't really know what to expect, I thought that they would live in some nice, spacey, old house. First I thought, wow, I want to live there. I can picture the whole house in my eyes. I could explain it here but it would take waaayy too much space.

2. This is the first time Bella meets the Cullens ( other than Carlisle ) and gets to for an impression based on her experience alone. In other words, Edward no longer describes them for her, she gets to see them herself. In this chapter, she mostly interacts with Carlisle and Esme, what were your impressions of them.
They seemed very sweet and nice. They were careful with Bella, obviously, which made them seem even nicer. I also thought that "Oh, how sweet, they fit so well for each other."

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
I didn't think much about it, I doubt I even remembered it when James&co. actually came. When I read it again, the line suprised me.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
Bella. I mean, she had to visit a houseful of vampires that would love to drink your blood and no safety person (of course she had Edward,but...). Edward already knew how his family thought about Bella and it was mostly positive and he knew that they wouldn't hurt her.
"Your father told me to never step through his doorway again, but technically I came through the window. But still, the intention was clear"

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
That is sounded absolutely gorgeous! I would love to live in a big house in the woods, and the fact that it has an entire wall made of glass makes it seem even more intriguing. Plus, I always wanted a huge grand piano.

2. This is the first time Bella meets the Cullens (other than Carlisle) and gets to form an impression based on her experience alone. In other words, Edward no longer describes them for her, she gets to see them herself. In this chapter, she mostly interacts with Carlisle and Esme. What were your impressions of them?
Carlisle, as always, struck me as a very compassionate, calm personality. He seemed to genuinely like Bella, as does Esme, but wanted to be sure that she wasn't afraid to be around them. Esme, from the way Stephenie described her, sounded soft and beautiful, and gentle in a way. I could tell that she was so thrilled that Edward found someone to love after decades of being alone - like any mother would be for her son.

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
Not really; I could tell that Edward was a little uneasy, but that was more because he is extremely overprotective of Bella. I just assumed that the visitors would pass through town and that would be the end of it.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous -- Edward or Bella -- and why?
Hm...that's a toss-up. Edward was nervous more for Bella's sake -- that she would become so afraid of what they are that she would leave -- and as much as he wants her to be safe, he wants to be with her. Bella, on the other hand, was worried that the Cullens wouldn't like her to be with their brother because she's just a human; she wasn't concerned about her safety so much among a houseful of vampires. So, I think each of them were equally nervous about this meeting.

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
I was surprised, but it makes sense really! I didn't think it would be all white.

I think they want Edward to be happy. They like Bella, she is a nice kid, what's not to like? Sure its a little weird, but they handled her just as well or better than any 'real' parent could have.

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
Thanks for ruining it! Haha, JK, I've read them all, but still! Anyway, I had NO IDEA this would be a pivotal point in the book. I thought it was going to be candy canes and rainbows till the end, honestly.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
Bella, Edward can read minds! I think Bella is so in love it would crush her if Edwards family didn't like her. For Edward, its not that big of a deal. As long as he has Bella, he will be fine.

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?
I loved it. I had always pictured the Cullens in something very modern, since their clothes and cars were, but once Stephenie described it it just felt right.

2. This is the first time Bella meets the Cullens (other than Carlisle) and gets to form an impression based on her experience alone. In other words, Edward no longer describes them for her, she gets to see them herself. In this chapter, she mostly interacts with Carlisle and Esme, what were your impressions of them?
I thought that Carlisle and Esme were acting how I would want my parents to act. That they were being very polite and liked Bella because she was good for Edward. I loved how maternal Esme acted and how she was genuinely happy for Edward.

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?
I knew that there were other vampires out there, but I didn't think of any being so close. I figured that they would play some significant part in the novel...thinking that it would have something to do with Bella, but it played out a lot better than what I had in my mind.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?
I think that Edward is more worried about Bella meeting his family as he is putting her a greater risk. Although I know that Cullens would never do anything intentionally to Bella, I think he was nervous about such a big step in their relationship...especially if that meant her becoming more intwined in the whole vampire situation. I mean he kept looking at Bella waiting for her to start screaming and run away.

1. I wasnt sure what to expect at first. But when I saw it, I thought it fitted the Cullens well. It seemed really nice and open.

2. They both were very cautious, which means they didnt want to harm her or scare her. Of course, Edward probably told them to keep their distance. Carlisle was very friendly, and Esme seemed very happy that Edward had finally found someone he wanted to be with.

3. I didnt think anything of it. I certainly had not predicted it would turn into something so tragic.

4. Probably Bella because she wanted the Cullens to accept her as she was. Edward would not have been deterred from Bella if his meeting with Charlie had gone wrong.
"I was with Edward in my happy place."

1. What were your impressions of the house that the Cullens live in?

i was like Woah! i expected something big and beautiful but with the surrounding forest and the meadow(lawn) then the river to top it off..oh my i was jealous. lol. and i absolutely love the idea of a big downstairs because i could picture alice and edward messing around in a big room chasing each other. haha

i thought it was funny the way stephenie said that they were testing to see if she was scared of them. cause i pictured two beautiful people being kind of nervous and walking really slow up to bella and shaking her hand.

3. There is a brief mention of Alice having seen the visit of other vampires. What was your reaction to this when you first read it? Did you have any idea that it would turn into the large disaster that takes over until the end of the novel?

i thought that they were just going to see what the cullens were like and leave. i never thought it was going to be a big disaster.

4. Edward and Bella describe being nervous about meeting/interacting with each other's families as boyfriend and girlfriend. Who do you think is more nervous Edward or Bella and why?

i think bellas more nervous aout edward meeting charlie. i dont think either of them have an issue meeting each others family but i think bellas scared that charlie would embarrass her when he meets edward as 'the boyfriend'. :D
