The back of the book tells you off the bat that Edward is a vampire so I knew it from the beginning.

No contest; I love Edward! I'm not the biggest fan of Harry Potter so this was extremely easy for me to answer.

I was on the verge of tears when Edward left Bella, but I felt no sad emotion when Jacob "left" Bella.
Jacob and Bella didn't have the same connection as Edward did with her.

I personally was not grossed out when Edward licked his finger. But I suppose Jacob gets off easier with licking Bella's face because he was in wolf form so I guess people think it's like having your dog lick your face... Exactly. It's expected from Jacob Black, the equivalent of a kiss on the chee...
