Hey everyone, thanks for a wonderful month of debate and discussion. Such a variety of insights and perspectives! Kudos to everyone for all the thought-provoking posts -- and for keeping the conversation so good-humoured and respectful of one another. Not long now till Breaking Dawn. See you all in...

Hi everyone! What a great conversation this has been -- I've got a long long list of posts I'd been hoping to reply to...and frustratingly, this has been an insanely busy week for me. Just to let you all know -- there's no new topic this week since the Lex is closing tomorrow at 9pm EST (see announc...

To me, it is all like the "arranged marriage" concept. The imprentee has no say. They can end up hating the imprinter, or learning to feel the same way. So, yes, I think it does kind of undermine the worth of love a little I think we all feel that the imprintee's end of the bargain is a little conf...

Guys.... Can I ask you all please in the nicest way to knock it off? You are all articulate and intelligent posters who know the difference between unimpassioned debate and badly-disguised impatience with one another. If other people's opinions annoy you, please don't post about them until you can ...

Hey, everyone.... As Ouisa said, it's been a fantastic week on this thread. Thank you all for bringing so many amazing perspectives to this question -- and discussing them with such thoughtfulness and good humour!

On to next week's topic: Imprinting...As Good as Human Love?

So much interesting discussion and I've got so far behind! Sorry about the long, rambling, omnibus response.... In my opinion, spitting on a gift would be more like... if I'd being handed Mr. Right or Mr. Perfect on a silver platter and I turned and said, "No thanks, I don't need him. I don't want t...

Imprinting....As good as human love?

Is imprinting as good as ordinary human love? For the imprinter? For the imprintee? Does it undermine the worth of love if you have no say about it? Does it make a relationship stronger -- or less meaningful -- if there is no possibility that the imprinter will ever fall out of love? How would you ...

Ok. Sorry...it took me rather longer than a day, because I misplaced the post I meant to edit in! At this point I think I'll just start again here: I've had many conversations with December about what I would like for Bella in Breaking Dawn. I keep telling December I want the big scene with a powerf...

you could say that because Edward believed in the love and committed the "blackest kind of blasphemy" he was trading his soul for hers. YES! That's exactly what I had in mind (only it was too late at night to put it clearly). Because I take seriously Ouisa 's thought that if you loved someone as Ed...
