Anyone in the Denver Metro area know of any release parties going on? I am new to Twilight so I didn't do the rounds last time. I did talk to the managers at both a B&N and a Borders in my area (South Denver) and they knew of them but didn't know of any plans for their particular stores to have them. If no one knows of any planned parties, maybe we can pool our pull and pick a central location and see what we can make happen.

I spoke with someone at the Borders in Aurora/Parker. I was told they won't have any definite info until June but, basically, if the store has had successful parties like this before, they will most likely have a BD release party. Yay!!! I can't wait. And yes, Real~Vampires~Sparkle, we will definitely be there bright and early!!!

Tattered Cover might do something, do you think? All of Steph's signings have been through TC...so they might be more open to it...

I'm not sure if Tattered Cover will do a midnight release. They haven't in the past, not even for HP. With Borders so keen on it now and many B&N stepping up, there shouldn't be a lack of parties. I think we'll know more once the Host signing. We'll be able to see what kind of crowd shows up and that should give us a better idea of how many stores in the area might be doing something. The Borders in Aurora/Parker has said they are pretty certain they will be doing something. I'm not sure what part of Denver you are in but you might consider that one. If you do find out anything certain, please post back here and let the rest of us know!

I was just at the Tattered Cover on Colfax and they are having a midnight release party! It was on a little sign around the Host table. So, if you don't find one in your area, you can definitely go to that one!!!!

For the love of Bloodsuckers, The Tattered Cover is definately doing a mid-night release for Breaking Dawn. How do I know? I'm in charge. I've had the pleasure of working with Stephenie when she's been in town, I've read all the books, AND I'm the queen of midnight around here. Our last two HP parties drew up to 3,000ppl per store (oh, yes we had parties and they were big). The best part is that we have a fantastic system to get books in your hand before 1 am! I'll be working the HOST event Monday and then i'm all Breaking Dawn all the time. More info to come!!!!!

How strange. We asked last year because we thought it would be really fun to go to the DH release party at the TC. The person at the customer service desk told us they didn't know and referred us to the register. That person told us you were taking pre-orders but that the store would be open regular business hours that day. ??? Now we know!
