True, but Edward returned with Bella and jumped right back into her life. And then forbade Bella to see Jacob, WHEN if it weren't for Jacob, Bella would have been dead!

^ I see your point about that, but what I'm trying to get out there is that Edward didn't ruin anything. It was all Bella's fault. If there is anyone to blame it should be her.

...which is why I don't really like Bella. She ran off to Volterra for someone who had left her, broken her heart, and made false promises, while she gave no regard to what the outcome could have been. She didn't think about Jake, or anyone else but her beautiful Edward.

True..True..But after NM, how could Jacob not get heartbroken? ..It was already to late to save himself from heartache. So he tried his best.

None's debating that. Edward himself even admits how in debt he is to Jacob. But just like Jacob doesn't like her spending time with vampires, Edward's not exactly jumping up and down with her spending time with wolves. They were raised to be enemies; of course he doesn't want her seeing him. WE know its safe, but he doesn't.

Edward only went to Volterra because he thought Bella was DEAD. Yes she chose to go to Edward. Edward also chose to stay. And Jake also knew he was fighting a lost cause. But it wasn't his fault how hurt he was at the end. By agreeing to fight, he admitted he still had hope. And it was that little bit of hope that hurt him. Even if he knew what he was doing, he probably didn't want to think about what it would do to him if she picked Edward. And who can resist a lost cause? Sometimes you just need to have that small sliver of hope.
