So, over on the 'England' thread, Murphy asked if we had a Scottish one yet. We didn't, so I thought I'd start one.

I'm not sure how many Scots there are around on here, so give us a shout!

I was considering organizing one in my area, because several people in my school love the books and would be interested.

Basically, give us a heads up over here if you live in Scotland and would be interested in a release party.

I'm not sure - it depends where everyone who's interested is. I think there are a couple of people in Edinburgh.
I'm over on the west coast.

Where abouts are you from?

I live way up on one of the tiny little islands that the person doing the weather always covers with their shoulder.

I will go anywhere to get to a release party though.
The tricky bit is convincing my mum!

Cool! Well it would be cool to have a release party in Scotland somewhere but I am going be in France when the book is released. So I will probably come back up to go to the party so it will probably be easier to go to one in London.

I know lots of people who love Twilight and I will get them to get in touch to try and convince a bookstore to have a party.

I emailed the Waterstones in Oban, on the west coast, so will keep you up to date on how that goes.

The next place to ask, I think, is the big Borders in Glasgow, to see if their 'nationwide' release parties stretch as far as Scotland.

I *think* that now that the nationwide Breaking Dawn release parties have been confirmed that they will stretch to Borders in Scotland too. I'm pretty certain they'd have them in the big cities like Glasgow, at least.

However it may be worth confirming it with individual stores.

But I am pretty sure there will be parties in Scotland... :D

O.K, so I was in Glasgow today, and the people in borders didn't know, because their events manager was away. So, I will now try e-mailing them.

The nice (and rather cute) guy in Waterstones who looks after the Sci-fi/fantasy section sounded enthusiastic about the idea of a release party, so I might try e-mailing there, too.
