In the beginning when Wanderer\Mel got to the caves he was just one creepy doctor. Then i saw the good in him. Good man Good man
i like he says in the end when he breaks his promise to Wanda. (i don't have the book with me so i'm not going to quote it)

Doc is...probably my favorite character. I think I'm more in love with him than Ian xD. He was the character that made me cry the most, maybe it was because all the tragety and loss was centered on him; killing his friends, and when Wanda came to him and asked him to kill her...*shudder* that was just horrible. I don't think I've cried that hard in any other part of the book. For Wanda, but more for Doc who had to deal with the fact that he was going to kill his own friend.
Shame he got stuck with Sharon though. She's a "pickle"

Doc is definitely one of my favorite characters. He is a healer at heart but extreme circumstances have forced him to also become something that is in direct conflict with the work he believes in, his true nature. He's just so tormented and so endearing at the same time. I don't see how he got matched up with what's-her-brat. He needs someone more compassionate and caring. I know that she is only a product of what has happened to her, too. But really.
Be yourself! Everyone else is taken.

I really really like Doc's character. At first I was a bit creeped out coz he seemed nice, in a creepy I-want-to-tear-you-apart way, but he wasn't thinking about that at all!
And I like his name. Eustace is cool. <3 He's a good man. ^__^

in which there is nothing to say. xD Except maybe with these~

At first he freaked me out, since I had no idea what he was going to do to Wanda. After a while though, I feel in love with that guy. It must be so hard to stand by and watch your friends get sick and know there's nothing you can do about it, but he tried as hard as he could. I'm glad he broke his promise to Wanda at the end; that part mad me laugh.

Human? No. Doc was more like a soul. Humans are more like Mel, loving and hating all the time. They can be violent or gentle, depending on their mood. Doc is never violent or mean. He only hurts people for the "greater good" and it hurts him every time. He's so compassionate. He's great.savingbella wrote:he seemed the most human to me.

He reminded me a lot of Carlisle and how he was so compassionate. Doc carried that empathy in his character...that Dr. Carlisle-vibeWinniePony wrote:Human? No. Doc was more like a soul. I love Doc, but I didn't think he was actually able to kill Wanda. He said he just saved her because of duress, but I honestly hope that he would have done so anyway. If he had just killed her, well... my feelings for him would be on the opposite end of the spectrum. As it is now (hoping he wouldn't have killed her even without Jared), I love him. He's strong, courageous, and compassionate. He really deserves better that Sharon! Maybe Wanda can find him a soul (very few humans would be good enough for him, in my opinion)...

But he doesn't want a soul! He wants Sharon, and if we love him enough, we want him to be happy. Sharon obviously makes him happy, so I think they're cute together. Although she is kind of obnoxious...JulesCullen wrote:I love him. He's strong, courageous, and compassionate. He really deserves better that Sharon!
