The Prologue

Post by Be My Escape »

In the prologue we learn about Fords Deep Waters and his job as a healer. There is a lot of foreshadowing about fears Fords has. What could he be worrying about?

Why is this souls mission so important?

How did you feel about the whole process of placing the soul in the body?

Any other thoughts or questions on the prologue??

I thought the souls mission was very interesting. I find the concept in general a little creepy, but it is obviously very important to the invading souls, simply for their survival.

I think the way that they place the soul in the body sounds kind of cruel, especially the way they took away the choice in the matter, simply "shoving" the soul into the empty space with no regard for the human soul there.

I'm just really excited for the whole book to come out! Its going to be a long few months.

I thought the prologue was very intruiging. The whole storyline seems so original and creative.

I can't wait to read the rest :D

I though that the prologue was interesting. I like the description of the soul. Can't wait for more!

I thought that the disregard to the human soul was cruel, but I'm very excited for the book!

i was a little confused after reading the prologue. so many questions were left unanswered, like how do the souls take over the human hosts. I'm really excited though. It seems like it's going to be another page turner and I'm a sucker for a good love story!

I thought that it was harmless the way they placed the souls in. Harmless to both the human host and the soul going in. But I don't like the idea of body invasion of course.
I was hooked on reading the prologue and can't wait for the book to get here.
The first bit was a little confusing, but I picked up on it after awhile.

I was a little confused at first plus Fords Deep Waters reminds me on a car brand Ford too much. Yes, my mom owns one. lol
I was feeling like I was on an autopsy with all the talking and cutting.
But it was very interesting and I think I'll buy it. When it comes available here, at the end of the world.

^ i was confused as well..... from what i understand.. Ford possesed the body of a human... and he has implanted another essence of an alien into this human girl.... is that right? so the alien race would abduct humans then implant them with aliens... that seems like a lot of operations they have to deal with!!! and so melanie is already implanted in chapter 4? but jared isn't?

malicious Wanderer is remembering Melanie's memories in a fream, so although she has a Host by then, her memories are from before.

I was interested in the concern the aliens had for each other & for the suffering of Melanie's body at least.
It was interesting to read the list of other beings that Wanderer has been in...if they are like their Earth equivalents they are not all Sentient or communicative, [nor do they have a brain!] so it will be interesting to find out more about the other worlds.
I hope too we find out more about how the souls symiotic relationship with other creatures came about. If they cannot communicate with each other in their natural form it is hard to see how they ever became organised enough to start inserting themselves into other creatures.
