Posting on behalf of Silly Bella tephenie has mentioned that the werewolves are all about magic, so I guess this would include imprinting. But I think love is magical enough on its own. I feel sorry for the imprinter missing out on that magic of love as it develops, because that's something so wonde...

My biggest problem with the concept of imprinting is I've never understood its purpose. Why does the pack imprint? What is the point? Since I've never been able to answer that question, I've found it difficult to "buy" into the idea. But I also believe that my lack of acceptance also comes from my ...

[ But it is, as Sasha says, a plot device of spectacular usefulness, once she had constructed the heart-breaking love triangle of Eclipse. Stephenie famously "likes happy endings". It's hard to think of a neater way to give Jake his well-deserved Happily Ever After with another girl and still hold ...

Well, you can't really count Taka Aki accurately in the count since he's not a member of the current pack and we don't really have data on all existing werewolves. However the current pack count is 10 with 3 members imprinted which is 30 percent. I get the impression thought that this number is way ...

Wow. This thread has come so far in this short week we have been debating! I know I personally have gone from thinking just "he's a blockhead" to being blown away by the observations of Visitor, December, Cocoa and STEPHENIE! It really does come down to this last quote of Visitor's If someone were l...

Gravity moves, suddenly it is not the Earth holding you anymore it's she does'.. Imprinting, more than any other subject in the Twilight Saga, has captured my mind. I've thought about it and argued about it and even based my usual avatar/banner off of it. It's the one subject I can never quite reas...

In my opinion, spitting on a gift would be more like... if I'd being handed Mr. Right or Mr. Perfect on a silver platter and I turned and said, "No thanks, I don't need him. I don't want to be given anything for nothing, I want to deserve what I get. Plus I don't want to be the lesser half of a rel...

Oooh. You're so right to point out that this not as simple as I've painted it in my previous posts: it goes beyond the question of whether you have the hardihood to hurt someone you love, in the interests of their ultimate wellbeing. In this case we're talking about something that does come very cl...

So let me ask you this (and anyone else who's listening): do you find it an admirable trait in him (or merely a forgivable one), that he can steel himself to say these things to Bella and walk out of her life? I was listening! and ABSOLUTELY NOT Of all of Edward's mistakes it is this one that I fin...
